Amazing burgers with pleasant ambience and great service. Everything is obviously fresh, including the coleslaw and chicken fingers I had. My milkshake was excellent as well. While close to the hussle and bustle of The Royal Mile, B&B was calm and quiet while we ate our Thursday noonish burgers. Burgers weren't cheap by North American standards at £10.5 to £14 but they appeared well worth the expense.

Our server, Kieron, was great and it was the best burger I've had in quite some time. Great onion rings, great view and great service. Will be back again.

Service was great. Staff was friendly. The food we ate was good. They get a 4 because the menu does not have appettizers. We didn't have time for the burgers. So we ordered from the sides menu. Given more time we would try it again.

Went on a wee lunchtime trip to Burgers and Beers Grillhouse on the Royal Mile. As it was a midweek lunchtime there were no beers for the group but there was most certainly BURGERS. A lot of burger!

There was a few of us and we were starving but still our eyes were bigger than our bellies as there was sooo much food.

I opted for the Frying Scotsman Burger with a haggis fritter, onion rings, scottish cheddar cheese and a creamy pepper sauce plus a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was stacked high and each individual element was cooked well. The burger patty was thick, juicy and medium rare. I thought the pepper sauce was a little on the thin side but tasted nice enough for dipping the very large portion of sweet potato fries into it. You have the option to choose between the small or large portion of fries - be warned, the large portion is genuinely a large portion.

Other burgers that made their way to our table were:

Rocky Balboa Burger with bacon and Dunsyre blue cheese.

Johnny Cash Burger with chanterelle goats cheese and caramelised onions.

Joe Pesci Burger with salami milano, applewood smoked cheddar cheese and garlic mayonnaise.

This is not a cheap lunch - on average about £20 per head for a burger, sides and a soft drink; but it is on the Royal Mile so you will pay more. Having said that you will leave with a full belly and a foodie satisfaction smile on your face.

Friday date night found my boyfriend and I heading to Burgers & Beers Grillhouse. I had read a lot of great reviews and really wanted to give it a try, Sam is a huge fan of burgers and beer so he was easily persuaded!
As soon as I stepped inside I loved it! The interior is modern and fun whilst still having a more dinner time feel than a lot of other burger places; the lighting isn't too bright - the ambience is just right. The smell of the food is also very inviting!
We ordered a couple of beers after some great advice from the waiter; he really took time to find out what we liked and to see what the best beer would be for us. After pouring over the menu I decided to create my own burger and Sam chose the Joe Pesci, we opted for sweet potato fries and corn on the cob to share as sides.
We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive, but it was pretty busy. Anyway it was worth waiting for; the burgers were great and the sides were delicious. I loved that my burger was created completely to my own taste and that the sweet potato chips were cooked just right.
It's not the cheapest burger you'll ever have but I think it was reasonably priced, alcohol also brings the bill up. We were really impressed by the service, it didn't feel rushed at all and the staff seemed genuinely interested in our opinions and were extremely friendly!

After a very long run out in the Pentland Hills I wanted to sit back, relax and enjoy a few beers with a burger.

Now look at the name of this place.

Due to the time (7:30 on a Saturday night) I waited at the bar and had a few drinks before being seated. The staff here were exceedingly friendly and as I was dining alone they made me feel very comfortable!

I ordered the Uncle Sam with Virginia sweet cured bacon, a small fries, onion rings and the Haggis fritters.

Burger - A really really decent size. Not too big, not too small and with a good amount of filling inside. The meat was cooked really well and there was enough sauce to coat the whole thing. A very good burger!

Fries - Were really tasty and perfectly salted.

Onion rings - A good serving size and definitely the right amount of batter.

Haggis fritters - My big recommendation here is to try these. Yes yes yes, you've heard of haggis and how bad it sounds. Just eat it and then be honest with people as to whether you like haggis or not. Stop pretending you don't like something when you've never even tried it. I loved them.

Would return!

Probably the best burger I've even eaten. Amazing service and with a cool vibe! Good selection of beers with lots made in Scotland. Highly recommended.

I've visited here a couple of times now. The first time, I did enjoy it but wasn't overly impressed but I'm putting that down to how busy it was and with the fringe madness approaching. My second visit was a lot better. Managed to get a table really quickly and the service was great even though there did seem to be a lot of big groups around. I order the frying Scotsman but swapped the beef for chicken. It was really enjoyable and though it was very filling, I didn't come away feeling mega bloated. A little more on the pricer side for a burger and like so many places these days, you have too pay extra for fries but as I said, I was pretty full and happy afterwards. It has a nice vibe inside and a fairly decent selection of beers so I most likely will go pop by again!

Came here on a Saturday night expecting to be waiting ages for a table, but the service was quick and got a us a table no problem. Ordered the brinner burger which was a little bit dry but it was more to do with the bun rather than the filling. For the royal mile, it is decent value for money. Would visit again.

Went there on Friday with a group of six. They have recently rebranded so we thought we'll check it out. The menu is cool. Not too long and if you don't like what's on it you can just build your own burger. They offer a good selection of sides but to be honest both burgers and sides are quite pricy. It might be due to Fringe coming up and the location on Royal Mile. But you can generally find the same quality burgers in other places for £4 less. Overall, a nice ambience with nice service that was sometimes quite slow but because we weren't in a rush we weren't bothered too much. Cool trendy place with a view of St. Gyles Cathedral and definitely worthy visiting.

I had heard of this restaurant through a blog post by Amy from The Little Magpie, and really liked the sound of it. I mean I like burgers and I like beer so why wouldn't I love it. I knew straight away that it was Laura's kind of restaurant, and when I told her about it, she was really excited! We went on Saturday, and the weather was horrible so as soon as we left the house we couldn't get a seat in the restaurant. We didn't book a table, but we were luck enough to get a table straight away, but I think that was just luck because it was pretty busy, so next time I would book. There was so much choice, not just the burgers, but the drinks too. I've never seen so many beers on a menu. Laura ordered a Joe Pesci burger and I ordered a Carlos Santana burger, but it took us ages to pick. It did take a wee while for us to get our dinner, Laura was starving, but I think that might have been cause it was so busy. We also ordered curly fries to share. When our food did come we were not disappointed, it was so good! We finished everything, and all the fries. Both burgers were so big, that we didn't really need the fries, but they were still good too! My burger had cheese, jalapenos, salsa and tortilla chips on a flat bread, while Laura's had cheese, tomato, lettuce and garlic may on a focaccia bun. I honestly don't think I've ever had a burger that good!
I loved Just Burgers and Beers, I will definitely be going back, I want to try all the burgers!

Nice little place on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, lovely burgers and great selection of beer! I had the Mac and cheese burger which was very decadent and I couldn't finish it. Would recommend getting the onion rings with your meal as they were really good. The service was good and very friendly!

Another stop in my efforts to try 'all the burgers' was looking for somewhere for dinner before heading to a gig so my friend and I decided to go here. Firstly I really like the decor, pretty simple but the hanging light bulb fixtures in the back half of the restaurant were really cool.

Opting for Rum instead of beer I ordered the Carlos Santana burger with chicken, it was huge; thankfully I hadn't eaten since breakfast! It was really tasty though not the best burger I've ever eaten but well cooked, and with a good combination of toppings like jalapeños, salsa, tortilla chips and cheese served up on a flatbread.

We shared a portion of curly fries, I'll always opt for the novelty option; they were well seasoned and the perfect amount to accompany our gigantic burgers!

I'm keen to give the beef burgers a try so will probably head back again, the service was good too which is always a plus!

Burgers seem to be the food of the moment and I'm certainly not complaining. I've been to my fair share of burger restaurants and Burgers and Beers is up there with the best. Located on Royal Mile, it's very easy to find although I'd image with the small front it would be easy to just walk by - don't be fooled by the size, once you're in it's a decent size. The interior is very trendy and there's a really friendly atmosphere with friendly staff.

The menu offers an array of burgers, all which can be made with chicken, beef or for veggies and there is the option to build your own - even the fussiest of eaters will have a hard time complaining. The Beer menu is even bigger than the food menu but unfortunately I did find that a lot of the beers that I would have went for (i.e. fruit beers) were out of stock - our waitress was really helpful in suggesting alternatives.

I went for the Mac Attack with chicken and my friend went for The Anna Nicole Smith, we got curly fries and onion rings between us. The food was really tasty but I do think that it was a bit on the pricy side with the burgers averaging at £10 and the beers at £5-6.

I've since seen that they have Burgers, Fries and Beer promotion for £10 during the weekend and £15 weekends which is really good value.

We visited here last week on our way to a gig. When we arrived the place was pretty empty, think we had just beat the rush. Once seated and handed the menus, we had the daunting task of picking our burgers and also our beer. The beer menu is huge and they also have a blackboard with guest beers on it. I settled for Black Isle Blonde and Jonathan had the Joker IPA.

The burger menu is pretty extensive. It really does cater for everyone. I had the mac attack and Jonathan had the man vs burger. He was nursing a hangover and thought this should do the trick. When our burgers arrived they were massive. My mac and cheese fritter was delicious and the burger pate very tasty, would have liked it a little on the pink side but it was still tasty. I had a side of curly fries. The man vs burger was a monster. It had pulled pork, 2 6oz beef burger pates and cheese. Jonathan demolished the burger and a side of chilli cheese fries.

Overall it was a good burger but a tad on the pricey side. I'd recommend booking and taking advantage of their burger, beer and fries for £10 mon - fri or £15 sat-sun.

After sampling the Anna Nicole Smith and a mixture of starters (pulled pork, chilli, nachos & bbq chicken wings) I'm sitting two hours later still nicely full. A fantastic burger, super nice staff, a WIDE selection of craft beers. Also onion rings as big as your hand.

I have been promising myself I'd go for ages and have at last managed it. I went alone but ordered as if i wasn't.
I got the Mac Attack Burger. Its a beef pattie with a crumbed Mac & Cheese pattie on top with Bacon and cheese. I couldn't help myself but also ordered a side of BBQ Beer pulled pork nachos. I'm pulled pork obsessed, if you hadn't gathered already :)

The burger was a conquest I happily took on and conquered. The beef patties was packed tight. I prefer a looser meat patties myself but I guess they stack these burgers pretty tall and you need a solid foundation.
Dare I say the nachos were the best part for me. That's wrong to say in a burger joint but they were so juicy, tasty and crisp, well the nachos that didn't get all juiced on were crisp. Those that did get all juice were still ummy. i just plonked them on top of the crispy ones with the pork and salsa and chomped away.

It was a great visit!! and the memory gets fonder and fonder. Only downside was on my visit i got the crappy seat between the two restaurant section, across from the toilets and till. Not the best place to get comfy so i didn't. I ate and went.

Next time ill be more picky about the seat im offered, even if it means waiting a while.

It seems everywhere in Edinburgh is jumping on the burger bandwagon at the moment, which is good news for burger addicts like me.  I wasn't under any illusions as to what 'Just Burgers and Beers' had on offer, but when you do something well you don't really need anything else.

All of the burgers on the menu have entertaining names such as The Dirty South, Anna Nicole Smith and The Frying Scotsman, and come with the choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian patty options.  As a sometimes vegetarian this was a welcome change for me as often there's only one (if any) vegetarian burger options on the menu.

After much deliberation, I went for the Carlos Santana (chicken, salsa, tortilla chips and jalapenos between Navajo flat bread), and my lunch date went for Man VS Burger (2x 6oz beef patties, BBQ beer pulled pork, bacon, lettuce, cheese, tomato and gherkins between a glossy bun that was skewered together because it was too big to stand on its own).  We greedily ordered onion rings and fries for sides. (Note: the onion rings were MASSIVE).

We then turned our attention to the extensive drinks menu.  I'm sure that if you'd asked them for an exotic beer from some far flung country, they could have easily conjured it up in minutes.  We settled for a Belgian Blond beer called Vedett.

I loved the relaxed atmosphere of Just Burgers and Beers. The style is a bit like 'American diner' meets 'Jamie Oliver at home'.  The staff were really friendly and up for recommendations (which is needed to make a decision on the huge drinks menu).

The burger was one of the best I've had in Edinburgh, and my lunch date and I already have plans to go back again next weekend and try the 'Brinner' burger (an all day breakfast on a burger) and their Rocky Road Cheese cake.  Highly recommended!

Was craving for Burgers when I thought of this place, 'Just Burgers & Beers', an apt name indeed. Am usually not keen on Beers cos I do like my JD's better. After much pondering we ended up ordering curly fries, peri peri wings, a dirty south burger & a custom burger. Great food & Great service. Some funky names for the burgers here too .. like the joe pesci & the frying scotsman. A worthy visit for sure.

We didn’t really want to do burgers but it was getting late and the ambiance looked lively so we stopped here for dinner. Shauna was our waitress and provided excellent and friendly customer service. She made the experience. We ordered the Haggis Fritters for an appetizer and they were really crispy on the outside with ground beef inside. We both loved these! We both went pretty basic on our burgers with a cheeseburger and the other a bacon cheeseburger. The burgers were large and we really could have split one after having the Haggis Fritters. The burgers were good but not amazing. Overall, it was a good experience with good food, cool ambiance, and amazing customer service by Shauna.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Burgers & Beers. Our server Zoe was extremely helpful and friendly, I'd go back again just to have her as our server again! The food was great, and the customisable options that you can make with your burger are a brilliant idea. Vegan-friendly! The portions are large, so the meal will definitely fill you up! The drinks and desserts are tasty too! Absolutely wonderful, and if I visit Edinburgh again, I'll surely visit this place again. Thanks Zoe for everything!

My boyfriend and I decided to visit Beer & Burgers Grillhouse for an early dinner on our final night in Edinburgh. Despite being very full-up by the end and not being able to finish off our plates, the food was absolutely delicious! Not only that, but every member of staff that we met (I’m afraid I didn’t catch any names), were all really helpful and super friendly! I’d say B&B Grillhouse is a little more on the pricey side, but we really enjoyed our food, service and overall experience and will definitely be returning next time we’re in Edinburgh! :)

The flavour of the burger was amazing and I strongly suggest to order the onion rings, some of the best I've had !!! Inside was quite hot and noisy, it was difficult to talk to each other or hear the waitress, so better if you can sit outside. Our waitress Anya was very nice and patient with us.

Such a cool place with great atmosphere. I wasn’t impressed with the burger but hubby enjoyed his. Chips were lovely and the Bulmers of course, was good. Was hoping for a Thistly Cross but… The views are incomparable though. We were sat at a table next to a window overlooking High St and St Giles. Pretty fantastic for our first night in the city/Scotland. The fact that they offer gf buns was great.

Stumbled across this bar whilst walking the ‘Royal Mile’. The welcome received was amazing with no fewer than 3 members of staff letting us know they would be with us shortly, they were very busy. They got us seated and brought us our menus, we went for the ‘Dirty Dog’ HotDog, ‘Uncle Sam’ Burger, side of coleslaw and Sweet Potato Fries. The food was delicious, tasty and hot. Our server ‘Chris’ was just superb, he was so friendly and helpful! I wish all places I visited on my travels were as welcoming as this place was! A* to all

We took our food to go as we stayed around the corner in apartment in parliament sq. We ordered a man vs burger and hand cut fries to go and to share. Very common in uk to only get medium well and though I prefer less cooked this was very good. The fries were large order and more than enough to share. They have to go packages with a few holes on top to make sure things don’t go soggy. Brilliant idea. Food was delicious and I would eat here inside or take away again
