Food was incredible, I had a duck Pad Kraprao - so much beautiful and tender meat within the dish and perfect flavours. Everyone else in our party loved theirs too. The best thing about this place is the tremendous staff who cannot do enough for you, or fast enough. My new favourite restaurant. Thanks so much Dusit!
Dusit is a Thai restaurant, serving a combination of local produce and spices from Thailand. After hearing so many great things about it, I was excited to finally try it out. The restaurant is small, with a relaxed atmosphere and some cool artwork. The menu is extensive, offering various types of dishes such as stir fries and curries. Choosing was difficult, but as someone that doesnât like nuts I really liked that they mark all dishes containing nuts with an âNâ on the menu, this made it easier to eliminate potential choices. However, choosing was still difficult as the waiting staff didnât really give us much time to decide and after already asking for a few extra minutes to decide, I felt pressured and chose the first thing I saw, luckily it turned out to be very tasty!
This is honestly one of the best restaurants at which I've ever eaten! Â I don't get to Edinburgh much these days, but when I do I immediately drop my bags in my hotel room and dash off to Dusit! Â All of the food is stunning, including the curries! Â You must try with the coconut rice as well. Â It really enhances the flavour of the curry! My favourite dish, the Dusit Curry, is a must-try for any Thai curry lover!! Â And don't forget to finish the meal with mango & sticky rice!!! Â Mouth-watering and delicious!!
Dusit does good wholesome Thai food and combines that with friendly and typically Thai customer service-two reasons that make it my favourite Thai in town. Our starters were tasty ( although my prawn tempura was just a teeny bit greasy this time) and perfect in portion size. The mains were excellent too and I love how the vegetables are always perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch. I also don't mind paying twice as much for a freshly prepared takeaway Thai curry here as it a notch above any of the bog standard takeaway food. Well worth a visit if you are in town!

Expensive but worth it. Excellent food the Dusit curry inparticular is fantastic. i've had it a few times, different every time but always delicious. Make sure to book so as not to be disappointed.

This place is amazing, fantastic fresh food, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.....Always busy so book so you don't miss out, my husband and I have eaten here regularly for 3 years and never been disappointed!
Located in the idyllic old part of Edinburgh, near the old Castle. The cobbled streets and original Edinburgh architecture make for a lovely backdrop while dining at Dusit.
For the main course, of course I went for the Gaeng Massaman curry. This is what I always go for in Thai restaurants; perhaps one day Iâll be more adventurous, but this particular version did nothing to persuade me that I should deviate from the norm.
Apart from the food which is first-class every aspect of the Dusit experience leaves you feeling warm and glowy. The welcome from the mainly Thai staff is warm and smiley enough to leave you aglow on the coldest of Edinburgh evenings.

I came here with a group of friends, 11 of us in total and we were told when we booked the table weeks in advance that we would have the table for 2 hours only - which we were happy to (and did) stick to.Â
We were welcomed by a friendly (but stressed looking) waiter who offered to hang up our jackets and what was instantly noticeable was how busy this restaurant was! Our group, having not seen each other for a number of months we were happily chatting and having a drink when we were pushed numerous times by the waitress to order despite knowing the situation that we only had the table for 2 hours. Once we had ordered, the starters came out pretty fast. The food was delicious and everyone ordered something different. No sooner than our dishes had been cleared our main course came out and I have to say the portions were very generous. Again the food was lovely and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in search of good Thai food.Â
I think what let down my experience here was the service. It just felt rushed. When I asked for a glass of water, a waiter brought over a jug of water for everyone and upon discovering none of us had water glasses he rolled his eyes so I just asked him to pour it in my empty wine glass!Â
The food was good here but I think I would avoid coming back at the weekend as there wasn't a good ambiance. All the other diners looked happy and it was busy but there were enough staff on the floor to see to everyone.
This has to be the best thai food in Edinburgh. Located on a street that has many restaurants that will give you some sort of symphony of tastes in your mouth this little gem is definitely well hidden and always full. Signature dish is the Bangkok duck with coconut rice / pad thai noodles. staff are very friendly, all from Thailand and so is the boss, from Scotland.
I have eaten here numerous times as I used to live just opposite. Everyone I have taken there is equally been surprised by the flavours received when eating here.
If you are ever in Edinburgh I would highly recommend to stop by this place - guaranteed satisfaction !

All staffs are friendly and nice. In a way, most menus are very authentic foods and taste. But I wasnât sure this is really delicious, I feel something is missing in food.
This Thai food is real!đ€€ I had the best papaya salad ever out of Thailand.
My boyfriend had beef sirloin and I had the monkfish, the level of spicy is so accurate and the waiters make sure you are making the right choice. Excellent food, friendly staff, efficient service and nice atmosphere (not wow but ok). Great great value for money!!
Ordered two of the first dishes off the Wok. The spice level was accurate and had a lingering effect (not overtaking the taste) and it was delicious. The servers were very very attentive and had tried to make you try everything! Itâs a small restaurant with chill vibes and decor. Good to stop by on a rainy day!
Second time here was even better! The service is impeccable with staff constantly cleaning the table for you, replacing cutlery and napkins the minute you need them and refilling the free water without having to ask.
They are all very friendly and give a really attentive and professional experience.
The food is the best Thai food you'll get in Edinburgh, its absolutely delicious, full of flavour and you'll struggle to stop eating. The starters, mains and desserts are all just amazing and there's a wide range of options that are all incredibly authentic, refreshing and tasty.
The atmosphere is great and the whole restaurant feels luxury and authentic.

The food was absolutely delicious. Nice atmosphere and they were very kind to let us sit as the kitchen was about to close. A wonderful experience and I definitely know that if I come back to Ădimbourg thatâs where I will eat again.

Visited last night with friends, the food and service was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We all decided to have the banquet which was an amazing amount of food and great variety. The service was very friendly and attentive from start to finish. We will definitely visit again when we are next in Edinburgh
Great food, amazing service. We just shared a Larb Gai, Kua Kling and Pad Thai. The larb was a bit dry and lacked a bit of heat but the others were fantastic.
Just be aware they add their own service fee to the bill. Not sure if that is standard here or not but they were so attentive it was tough to have an issue with it either way.

Their starters set is amazing and very authentically local Thai for me. Some sauces reminded of the sauces I had since childhood in Bangkok.
The main course is alright but the starters steal the show for me, highly recommended.
The restaurant is not small but it can be noisy and loud with customers so it might not be the best place for the romantic serenity.

Very small but cosy. Accommodating 10-15 tables at a time. Booking table in advance is totally recommended, otherwise you can try your tiny luck there for a table.
Pad Krapao(holy basil) is totally recommended! Easy 11/10 points!
Alcohol and non alcohol drinks are available at the bar service. Reasonable price. Staffs are very helpful. Will be back here again for sure!

Smiling & helpful staffs constantly clearing & cleaning, once diners leave the table. Tom Yum Chicken soup was delicious & tasty along with Pad Kraprao, Penang Tofu.
Seating too close with nearby table. Managed well in serving all dishes at one go in a timely manner. Overall great place and meals at value for money.
A tradition for us both when visiting Edinburgh, dinner at Dusit.

What an incredible restaurant! The staff were extremely kind and professional. They were attentive and seamless in their service. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was buzzing, and it is very affordable!
Second visit to Dusit. Great food. Lunch menu for ÂŁ16:95 is good value with plenty of choices including fried beef, duck Thai red curry( supplement ÂŁ3 for duck though). Excellent service from friendly staff.
A nice find on Thistle Street away from the bustle but only 5 minutes from George Street. Definitely recommend.
Booked this last-minute and we had a very good experience. The food was just fantastic, very tasty. We had 2 starters, the fish and the prawns, the chicken dish and 2 different kinds of rice (fried egg and coconut one), plus tea and beer. Food came really fast, waiters very attentive, clean toilets, cosy atmosphere.
