CA is a gorgeous vintage style tearoom tucked away on London Street, a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The stars of the show is their cake selection which is absolutely fantastic. Marie Claire's baking wizardry knows no bounds, especially for her unusual combinations (sweet potato and carrot cake - delicious) and special diet cakes. Perfect accompanied by a lovely pot of eteaket tea. Been in for lunch - Superfood salads are generous and also delicious with ⅔ selections daily - and also recently to try the new brunch menu. Excellent avocado toast and friend also thought homemade granola was excellent. Erring on the price-y side (8.50 avo toast, 7 for sandwich, 4.50 for granola) but wonderful for the occasional treat

I j'adore the cakes and tarts that come out of the oven here. Recently I had a raspberry & white chocolate tart and it was UTTER HEAVEN! The scones are good too - nice & big. I usually opt for earl grey tea, which comes in a lovely tea pot with loose leaves for that good all round taste.

Checked out this cute vintage tea house in city centre last week with my favourite foodie Tee Miah I loved the decor and design! They were out of Bollywood dream chai but got the chocolate abyss which smelt and look refreshing but tasted like Carmel NOM! The scones were great I asked to get them warmed up as I like my butter to sink into my scones. Tee got himself a soup which judging by facial expression I don't think he enjoys :/ £10-15 maybe not the best tea house in Edinburgh but worth a visit. Really central 5 minutes away from Omni

I have to say I am in love with this tea room .. Beautiful and yummy cakes. The lemon drizzle I tried was lovely and just the perfect amount of lemon added.

Really good cakes, perfect service and really good looking place. Cosy and vintage. The perfect place to have a quiet date or a nice tea with a friend.

An absolutely wonderfull place. The scones are irresistible and they serve them with the most extraordinary home-made jam I ever tasted. Edinburgh is of course full of places you should not miss but when it comes to pastry this one is THE place.

Cozy tea room at the bottom of broughton street. Affordable prices and great service make for a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or a quick bite to eat. Lots of teas and coffees available and all the food is freshly prepared and delicious. The sitting area is quite small and this made it feel very quiet with little atmosphere so felt a bit awkward at times, however maybe it was just the time of day we were there. If you like traditional tea rooms then this is the place for you.

I had afternoon tea here with some friends and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. They even fit us in last minute. We joked about driving down from Speyside the next day to do it again. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Edinburgh

Probably the most incredible tea time I have ever eaten at @casaangelina42 😍!! Perfectly spiced spring rolls, bagels with houmous and marinated peppers 🌶, pretzels 🥨 with pesto and candied eggplants 🍆, spanakopitas (or spinach pies), scones with clotted cream and jam, chocolate whoopies with a zest of orange 🍊, “sandwichs” of banana 🍌 madeleines with a peanut butter frosting in it, and chocolate cupcakes with cherry jam heart and coconut 🥥 icing !!!

We've tested so many afternoon teas so far and none is as grand as the one at the Casa Angelina! If you wish to celebrate life, go for an afternoon tea at the Casa Angelina - the flavours of every piece are well balanced and all of them match so well that you would destroy the whole experience by leaving something away. You can feel the love and the passion that Marie Claire puts into her creations. Don't expect an ordinary classic afternoon tea, but a varying set of a modern, nourishing interpretation with its own soul. Tip: Go hungry and don't think there's space in your stomach left for dinner afterwards. And don't forget to book your table.

Broughton Street is full of quirky shops and eateries and this is another wee gem. Down a set of stairs, a delightful little tearoom awaits. My friends and I came for an afternoon tea, which we couldn't fault! There was also a dress-up box, so we put on hats and had a giggle.

A total delight. Indulge in the afternoon tea and long after you've left, you'll be imagining each mouthful. The Vietnamese spring roll, red velvet cheesecake with orange mascarpone cream and white chocolate and cardamom eclair were sure highlights. BYOB so make it a champagne afternoon tea at a great price.
