The Halfway House - Edinburgh - Photo album

As they say, it's the smallest award winning pub in Edinburgh. It's a great little spot for a drink. Maybe a little "touristy"?
Beautiful space, small but very cosy! Nice variety of beers and the bartender was very nice to us explaining the different beers, and we had a great time there, not super crowded even it being a small bar. Not very easy to spot, and that is a big virtue! 100% recommend!
Teeny little pub down a picturesque stairway. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious hot pies, LGBTQ+ safe. I would have gone here every day if there wasn’t so much city to explore!
Might be the smallest pub in Edinburgh, but it makes up for it in atmosphere and the selection of drinks. Good selection of whisky, but I stayed on the 80 shilling. Heartily recommend Wee Jock.
Small old fashioned pub with friendly staff 5mins from Waverly station Excellent for last drink while waiting on a train home or just a nice chill after walking all day This pub is on stairs which gives it that extra something special
This pub is such a hidden gem right at the base of Fleshmarket Close, where we happened to be staying during our visit to Edinburgh. We stopped in for the sheer convenience, and immediately felt comfortable in this cozy little spot. There were just a few others there, so our group of 5 easily found
Tiny pub full of character hidden away up a side street. Good selection of beers, but even better choice of malt whiskies. Bar staff were friendly and service was quick. Sign outside says they do food but they don't.
Reputedly the smallest pub in Edinburgh. It certainly is one that should be visited. Excellent real ale and a warm and friendly welcome. We last visited many, many years ago and "found" it again yesterday. Still the most fabulous pub. Situated "halfway" down the steps from Old Town to Waverley. A re
Never had any food, so can't mark it. Otherwise an excellent experience. Beer was exceptionally well kept. My favourite pub in Edinburgh.
Small, cozy pub in a unique location off Fleshmarket Close. Good drink options. Comfortable booths. Hot pies are available.
Best Guinness I’ve had in a while. Lovely Scottish ales as well and local cider. Definitely recommend
Great old fashioned pub, and good ale.
Fantastic cask beers and somehow they make microwaved Cullen Skink that's better than most anywhere in town costing three times as much. Great place, highly recommended
The coolest pub ever. Not even as big as my lounge room, and super cosy. Good selection of beers and enough of a menu to keep everyone happy. Down a side alley away from the tourist areas so not overcrowded.
Nice place for some drinks. Staff very friendly.
Beautiful pub and beer! Great atmosphere and the staff friendly! Definitely going back!
Cracking wee pub, whether you're caught in the rain or cannae make it up all the steps in one go. Nice wee outside bit I don't remember being there before but inside the usual mix of fascinating punters and great service. Spey's Cadet IPA was very appropriate considering we had just been to see Aste
