First time trying Haggis here since I've heard good reviews about it. The taste was quite interesting. It's safe to say that it's an acquired taste. It was a good experience. I also tried their whiskey which was really really nice.

The best haggis in town, that what they announce and it is really the best. The haggis with the whisky sauce is amazing as well as the goat cheese bruschetta. Nice ambiance and very nice staff

I was excited to show my Dutch friend around one of my favourite cities; and was surprised to find out she’d never tasted haggis or whisky - so Arcade was the perfect place to stop.

A fantastic seat in the window, the staff recommended a couple of whiskies and we ordered the haggis balls (I wondered how many Harris had to be caught?).

What a perfect introduction for her - the haggis balls were incredible, and it’s at this point I discovered she’d never had kale before either!!

The atmosphere in this bar was great, the staff were friendly and helpful; and I’ll definitely be returning - especially if I want to introduce other friends to the delights of Scottish cuisine!

Tried the Haggis and Steak Ale Pie for our mains. I would have to say the Steak Ale Pie is magnificent! For Haggis, I can’t say much since this is my first time trying Haggis, and I don’t quite like the taste nor the texture of it.

Great haggis and excellent scotch selection. A warm yet interesting decor. Had the luxury whiskey tour and enjoyed every one! Definitely worth a visit!

A whiskey bar with good food and reasonable prices. Score!
I loved the top hat lamp shade along with the long list of whiskeys and substantial choice of food.
Its a quiet little place. Maybe we were there too early :)
The beetroot and goat cheese salad was delicious. It was a pleasure for me tired eyes and hungry stomach to see the haggis with mashed potato, turnip and some bacon on top.

This very friendly spot was quite a good host. The food was delicious, didn't took long to be served and the staff were true welcomers. Really cool "decor". A mix of local stone bricks, dark oak woods, vintage paraphernalia from 40's, 50's, 70's. Next time hopely soon, I will pay a visit again for sure!

Nice reasonable food.. The royal mile can be overpriced and pretty poor quality sometimes, must be because of the volume of tourists. The arcade is a brilliant little find where you have the atmos of the old town with good Scottish food. It's reasonably priced and the portions are huge. I couldn't finish the fish and chips and was actually stuffed for three hours after. There's also a "secret" vodka bar upstairs which on entering is a bit like a speakeasy but quite funky too. I'd recommend the place to tourists and locals alike.

Nestled towards the top end of quaint Cockburn Street, Arcade Haggis and Whiskey House could quite easily be regarded as just another cleverly worded tourist trap. In reality this little pub goes a long way to offering some of the best haggis and possibly the largest selection of whiskey one might find in the city.
The place itself is small and the décor is a mash of styles; stone walls, Gothic tables and chairs and a large classic telephone sit amongst beige carpet, pot plants and colourful artwork. Sound confusing? It is a bit. What isn't confusing, however, is the excellent attention to quality when it comes to the food.
The most noteworthy of dishes on the menu are none other than the Robert Burns' Famous Haggis and the Princess Diana Style Haggis. The former comes in the traditional stack of of mashed turnips, potatoes and of course the haggis, with an added choice of whisky sauce or bacon. It's an impressive dish that will leave those who have never ventured into the realm of sheep's pluck (that's the heart, liver and lungs) cooked in the animals own stomach, either on the right or wrong side of curiosity. The Diana Haggis includes a made to order creamy sauce infused with tomatoes onions and Drambuie.
The haggis operates along the same lines as Marmite, in the fact that it won't be to everyone's taste. But paired with the traditional turnips and mash, or neeps and tatties to those in the know, the full meaty taste of the haggis with it's light spices and onions would surely appeal to the majority of carnivores out there. And the Arcade does it so well, taking joy in the presentation of the dishes and coaxing you into adding the whisky sauce, which, to be fair, you were never not going to order. But if the thought of haggis isn't quite whetting your appetite then there are plenty of other options, such as the king prawns roasted in garlic, thyme and soy sauce or the excellent pork, Stilton and asparagus sausages with roasted veg and rocket mash.
Once your stomach is well lined you can sit back and indulge in a few choice whiskeys from their extensive menu blending together a selection of malts from across the country. Highlights include the North Port Brechin 1982, infused with ground ginger, soft wood smoke and heather root and the Talisker 10 Year Old, with notes of kippers (yes, kippers), seaweed, and apple peel. If you really want to push the boat out then the wallet crunching Secret Stills 1986 will hit all the right spots with its rich nose of vanilla and caramel and intense notes of sherry and peat.
A must for anyone in search of good food and drink, and both at very reasonable prices, Arcade Haggis and Whiskey House is certainly one to note down when you plan your next visit to Edinburgh.

Love this place! Found this place, when looking for the best haggis in this neck of the woods ..and was not disappointed! A bit more on the fancier side, but very well worth the money - fresh, and very appealing dishes. Staff was great and attentive, as well ..but they are a "credit card only" business, so be prepared.

Just turn up get seated and enjoy. We were served by Seb who was an extremely knowledgeable on the food and whisky. My wife is Gluten free and they cater for this, especially with the Haggis, which is what we went in there for. Full bellies when we left.

We were a bit unsure to give haggis a try, I'm happy that we did. It was way better than what we expected and we ordered one without a whisky sauce. Without the sauce, it was quite dry as I liked it better that way, but you may want to try it with the sauce. The other dish we ordered was fried Scottish Salmon in almost a meatball shape which was definitely delicious with the sauce and salad beneath it.

We had a delicious meal! Both the Haggis and the salmon appetizer were excellent! They also have a long list of whiskeys and a few tastings available. The bar is also nicely furnished, with a nice vintage style.

Came in with high expectations and to be honest, it kept up to it. If it’s your first time, please just stick to the haggis with whiskey sauce. It’s quite rich which is why I struggled to finish the entire thing, but it’s absolutely delicious. The flavours felt homemade actually. Also, a three page menu for whiskey selections and some of them are on point! Loved it! One of those spots which is highly recommended on social media and I must admit, it lives up to the claim of a great haggis!

If you only have one opportunity to try Haggis in Scotland than this is the place to do so. I would recommend starting with a Whisky of your choice while you wait for your food. One of their Exclusive Haggis Ales is a must have while you eat. It pairs wonderfully with the spices in the Haggis and helps wash everything down. Food was hot and you can tell it is made fresh. 10/10

Excellent food! My husband and I showed up at 1300 on Saturday and they were able to sit us immediately. We started with the haggis bon bons it they were delicious. They were lightly breaded and moist on the on-site. The crispy kale and whiskey marmalade complimented the dish well. We shared the Robert Burn dish with whiskey sauce. It was amazing and filling. We even had left over. I also had a side salad with the dish. The food and service was great. Highly recommend!

It was our first time trying Haggis and it was delightful, so delicious. The service was also great and they have a good selection of beers that go really well with the haggis. We had the Robert Burns (order it with the whisky sauce and thank me later) and the Princess Diana haggis and both were amazing.

Saw this place as we were walking and decided to try it out. Ordered the Haggis with the whiskey sauce and it did not disappoint! It's a MUST have and it's very delicious!! We also ordered the salmon fishcake over salad and that was also delicious. The soup of the day was lentil soup and it was so tasty that our daughter ate it all. They have a huge selection of whiskey served in little 25ml glasses (almost like a shot 🥃). I'll come back here again and order double the Haggis with the whiskey sauce! Our server also looked like Zac Efron, lol!

Their haggis is very good. I also tried the toffee pudding and it was amazing. Very solid but can get pricey, but you get a good portion. The location is fun. I went back two days later and it was just as great. I tried the Princess Diana haggis and it was incredible. Best food I tried in Scotland.

Foodie heaven! From haggis burgers to Robert B. style haggis with whiskey sauce. Don’t forget to order a dessert - cranachan is a must! We’ll return for whiskey for sure 😬

Beautiful place, great hostesses and the food is amazing! Had a wonderful dinner with my husband first time in town and I definitely recommend it! Their haggies is a must eat. Don't forget to add the whiskey sauce. We got the salmon bites which was really good, the lamb burger and the goat cheese with beetroot and rocket. Everything so fresh and tasty! Well done to the chef!!! And of course we had some smoked whiskey....to digest...worth every penny!

Firstly I just like to say that the Haggis was the best I’ve ever had!! The bar/restaurant has a quirky and fun atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends. Our waiter was an absolute laugh and made the experience even better. My wife had the fish which was delicious. We also shared the Haggis balls which were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and had a great flavor. This will be the first place I’ll be heading to when I return to Edinburgh!

Haggis and mash tasted okay, and they had very kind waiters. Their whisky selection was impressive (but a bit expensive). The place is quite small and it can be tricky to get a table. They played some quite loud rock music while we were there, which is the only reason they don’t get 5 stars.
