Cute little store on the Royal Mile. They do meals as well as sweets- we were there for cake! We bought slices, cupcakes -and a slice of cake. During our stay we visited Mimis twice. Efficient service and well priced. The slices were my favourite-especially the crispy slice- lots of coconut with either honeycomb or chocolate and different flavours. Also the biscuit slice- amazing
Beautifully made cakes and a great selection of tea. My caramel fudge brownie was nicely complemented by the chai tea latte. Loved the mesh lights with little crafted birds clinging the the perches
I saw a number of people walking about Edinburgh with Mimi's boxes, so I decided I needed to try it. I wasn't disappointed! I had an oatie fudge bar. It's was fresh and incredible. There were many other delicious looking options that I'll also be trying. Highly recommend if you're on the Royal Mile.

She said the raspberry brownie was the best seller so I tried it. It was dense but not too sweet, not too bitter, just right. I can taste the hint of raspberry. It is very nice and complimenting to have it with hot tea in the midst of windy day… next time I’ll try the scone as it seems to be their other best seller.
Wonderful little cafe in the heart of the city! We stopped here for a coffee and a scone. It was our first time trying out a scone in Scotland and it did not disappoint. They warmed up the scone (cheddar/olive) and brought it out with a side of butter. We thought it was delicious! The cappuccino was also delicious as it was smooth and not bitter at all.
I highly recommend everyone pay a visit to this location!
Been bookmarking this bakehouse since I arrived at Edinburgh. Located near royal mile and ordered hot choco which was good!

For those talking early morning cruise tours and getting dropped off at the castle to walk the Royal Mile .. this is a perfect stopping point! Quaint and cozy bakery with a wide variety of pastries and Scottish Scones. I had the cheese and chives scone. Flakey outside and soft, moist inside!

Got also a fruit scone which was nice, light texture but would have loved more raisins inside.
Got a cappuccino which was perfect
Overall, definitely a good place to have some delicious sugary food
I went there simply to get a cupcake for my birthday, but they lighted a candle and sang happy birthday for me turning the whole experience on the sweetest core memory. It’s a tiny magical place, their cupcakes are a delight and the coffee is amazing! The staff were always kind and helpful with everyone that came in. I wish I could give more stars 🥹
Really nice cafe and bakery along the royal mile of Edinburgh. The food is really fresh and tasty. I had the fruit scone which was glorious (on picture).
Coffee is generally good but there is space for improvement. The negative point is that the seating is really limited and they have no bathroom. Still worth a visit!
I loved stopping here for tea! The floral green tea was very nice. I got the cream egg cupcake mostly for novelty, but it was actually a delicious lava cake. It's a small shop so it might be full at times, but if you can get a seat then it's a great place to go.
The staff were very welcoming and offered suggestions about their favourite items to order. The eat-in area is cute and cozy. Small but perfect. I ended up with a fruit stone with jam and cream, although I was highly tempted by the entire menu. The coffee was just what I needed to start my day. Highly recommended.
Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious scones! When I return to Edinburgh, this will be a destination! I live in Canada and I am now on a mission to recreate my scones experience!

We've had breakfast here twice while in town and probably will a good bit more. There are a lot of little cafes and such in this part of town and this is definitely one of the best.
Takeaway is of course an option but if you have time and there's a table open, definitely eat in.
We like to sit and people watch while we finish our coffee.
Mimis is a great little cafe on the Royal Mile to stop for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake. We tried the new mint brownie which was very tasty and a sticky toffee cupcake (in our opinion, the best cupcake they do)
It is a small cafe so you may not always get a table, but it is just as easy to takeaway and enjoy at home!

Tiny place, but if you are lucky, you can get a table, and they also have a couple outside. We went there the day we arrived to Edinburgh and we had to come back before leaving to get some take away for the travel as we loved it so much!! Scones are so lovely. We also tried a cupcake and a brownie, and they were sweet but not too sweet, fluffy and delicious. Love it!!
I had friendly service, the coffee was good, and the pastries were creative and delicious.
We had some hot chocolates and two cupcakes from here and they were delicious and the staff were lovely. I would recommend coming here for a little treat throughout the day but you may need to buy it to takeaway as they were very busy inside.
Love Mimi's! The cakes are so delicious and such friendly service. This cafe is sooo tiny though- only 12 people can sit inside. And there are no customer toilets.

Lovely little shop with a cosy ambiance on the royal mile. The caramel fudge brownie and Nutella hot chocolate were both top notch in terms of both taste and presentation. It's a small place so there might not always be space to sit, as many people frequent this bakehouse and it can get quite busy! Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Recommended.
