Gurkha Cafe & Restaurant - Edinburgh - Photo album

Nice and warm hospitality. Very energetic and friendly staffs. Food is top notch with authentic nepali taste. When in Edinburgh don’t miss out Gurkha Cafe. Reserving early will be much efficient.
Nice Nepalese Restaurant. We had to wait a little bevor getting a table - so reservations might make sense. Food was good, side dishes like Nand or rice have to be ordered extra. Price for the meal was ok for mit-town Edinburgh.
A fantastic, atmospheric Nepalese restaurant, with an interesting menu of well-cooked, traditional dishes. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is well-spaced, but cosy, being well decorated and inviting. Highly recommended for a great meal!
A really lovely meal, it came out really fast and was super delicious, I was really blown away by the Mo:Mo’s and how nice the Naan was. The beer named Everest was chilled and crisp. Also the staff were super friendly and even cracked a few jokes with me as I sat alone, but the bag was my company.
Amazing place, food was very tasty, staff friendly and polite. Fair price for quality and service. If you would like to have a proper, delicious Indian food in Edinburgh, you have to visit this place. I’ll be definitely coming back.
The Gurka Cafe & Restaurant is an excellent Nepalese restaurant offering a good range of special dishes and traditional Indian dishes. The service is excellent - we were initially seated close to the main door which was a bit draughty and it was no bother to be moved to another table. There is a go
Very much enjoyed this place. We had outdoor seating, which accommodated 2 tables. I thought it was a tiny place but inside it's pretty large and has alot of seating! I felt like we had great table service and the food was excellent. We ordered a #3 and #4 under the Nepalese non-vegetarian section.
This place is true to what it's says.. Let it be Authenticity ,atmosphere or service everything is top notch. Just don’t believe my word, come here and try once, i guarantee you will fall in love with this restaurant..
Tucked at the end of busy old town street, however what a place! It wasn't busy when we went a lunch time so we was the only customers there. Food is absolutely phenomenal. So so fresh, meat it succulent, vegetables are so fresh! I can't express how good quality the food was, amazing!! Menu is not b
Food was amazing, not too spicy which I prefer with great flavour. The chicken was juicy, naan went perfectly with the curry. Service from the gents was alright, the lady had a much better approach but the food was amazing regardless
Fantastic tasty food, lovely staff. Highly recommended
Fantastic food and service. The good was exceptionally tasty and wonderfully prepared. Service was fast and very friendly and helpful. The Gurkha Chef's special was delicious. Spicing was very flavourful with just the right amount of heat. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Wonderful food. Excellent portions and reasonably priced. However the service was slow and our meal didn't arrive for 50 minutes. This wasn't helped by one of our dishes having to be made again (we're not sure what happened but according to the waiter something went wrong in the kitchen). It was a s
Fantastic food! Food quality and taste 10/10. It took some time to sit down and then after ordering, but I suppose great food takes some time to prepare. I highly recommend. We tried 5 different main dishes, plus 2 naans. All were served hot and fresh. Tasty 😋
