The Torfin - Edinburgh - Photo album

Well appointed rooms, a 20 minute bus ride from the city. Not your traditional hotel, very limited hotel services , actually 4 rooms above a very good restaurant. A little pricey though for what you get.
Went here for dinner quickly before heading to a pub. Cute restaurant, staff were friendly, menu was decent. My food came quickly and was so, soooo good. I like the location because it was close to my hotel, but I'm not sure how much that helps anyone else. It is easy to find, though, and I think it
We have been traveling for 12 days and I cannot rave about this restaurant enough. We called ahead to ensure we could get a table and they were very friendly and squeezed us in before the kitchen closed. We had the chickens fajitas and they were the BEST fajitas I've ever had! Seasoned so well and f
Popped in for food on a Friday evening, fitted us in without a booking, was in the back restaurant area we were first in but a few more tables filled up the space. Service, was good prompt but not pushy. Decor is decent. Modern clean tidy. food was alrite. Chorizo chicken and lasagne and chips. Ha
The staff are efficient and friendly. The food was delivered quickly and was hot. I had a burger and chips which were very tasty. It is good value. We have been there more than once and enjoyed it every time. It can be busy at peak times which is a good sign. There are half price offers Monday, Tues
Lovely restaurant with assigned days for different foods. Been many times with my family and have had pleasant experiences to say the least :)
Had a lovely meal here, I had the homemade scampi and chips, about £14, which were lovely and crunchy, chips were great too. We also had the beef brisket burger with chips, this was a generous amount of brisket on top of an 'in house' made burger, the brisket was delicious and the burger was good qu
We weren't staying in the hotel but did get drawn in to the upstyle bar while taking a walk.
First time in here yesterday. Really nice surroundings and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Breakfast rolls are delicious, orange juice lovely and fresh and location is great right on Corstorphine road. Would highly recommend.
A great pub/restaurant service great, area great, food great but down graded to 4* due to not a very big choice. Atmosphere? It's whatever you like if u want a nice quiet place to have a chat when you are eating then this is great if you like a bit more going on then this is not the place for you.
Did not realise you had to book so we're seated in bar area in view of everyone coming in. Bookers were taken to nicer area. Overpriced.
Took a friend and his fiancée out to dinner to celebrate his birthday & tried the special offer of 50% off the burgers along with a soft drink each and a sweet. The quality of the food was excellent as was the waitress service, the waitress constantly had a smile on her face and was polite and engag
Haven't stayed in this lovely hotel but we have been for food and drinks, fell in love with the place, so much so that we went back again the next day. Special mention to the staff who couldn't do enough for you
Great place, great food, nightmare to park close as very busy road!
Been here twice with five others my meals were excellent but one Iod the groups was not up to the high standard and was a embarrassed to complain but I would have ,
The Torfin is superb for what i would class as a 'homely' meal and is absolutely outstanding for gluten free care. If there is an establishment to go to that i know the food is going to be safe for a intolerence to gluten person, its here.
We were from Canada when we stayed in Edinburgh last July and had the good fortune to find this gem. Not only was the food fantastically delicious, the staff was very friendly and courteous. If we ever return, this restaurant will be a definite revisit. Thanks for the great dinner.
