I was brought here by my Pakistani friend’s family. The family has been here before and obviously liked it here to come back again. I’m no expert of Pakistani/Indian food but i have had dined at Pakistani/Indian restaurants many times and had homemade Pakistani/Indian food at my Pakistani and Indian friends’ places so i do know some. I was happy with the tastes, portion and especially the service of the staff. They all made us feel very welcome. Nan, chapati, paratha were all freshly made. Food was served fast.

We stumbled upon this place by accident. I was navigating to another Indian restaurant when we passed by this place. It was buzzing with customers, so I decided to give it a try. Luckily, they had a table available. We ordered mostly starters. However, their portion sizes are very generous, so it was kore than enough for us. The food is very flavorful. After eating bland English food, this was a refreshing change. Service is excellent. Shout out to our server AJ, who made sure we got exactly what we needed.

Rustom is a fantastic Indian restaurant. We had paratha which was flaky, fried and gorgeous. I could have eaten 10! The naans were soft and well cooked. No burnt patches. The pilau rice had loads of fresh spices and cloves in and was cooked nicely, not too bitey. The paneer tikka masala tasted great, a sweet coconut sauce with big lumps of fresh paneer. The sindhi biryani was surprisingly spicy and had lots of tender chicken. It came with a vegetable curry sauce. The lamb in the lamb shank nehari practically fell off the bone it was so tender. The chicken karahi was similarly great. Well cooked meat and flavourful sauce. Service was really good and nothing was too much trouble. One waiter in particular was incredibly nice. He recommended us some dishes and was happy to chat to us. He thought we might be European but we explained we were just on holiday from England. Sadly I didn't get his name but he made our night. The restaurant was clean, warm and well lit. We will definitely go back when we visit Scotland again! Highly recommended.

Great range of dishes to choose from, good ambience and service. Food taste , portion size and quality is very good. Definitely value for money. Chicken tikka main : Charcoal cooked chicken with mint sauce tasted good Tandoori Fish : A good try Paneer karahi : great portion size and tasted good other than the peppers getting overcooked. Garlic naan: Absolutely huge , sumptuous and soft. Bombay Aloo tikki: A chatpata tasting appetiser. Prashant was in charge of our table and did a splendid service with great recommendations.

So, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rustom, the Pakistani restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for the taste buds! The ambiance had a nice cozy vibe, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening. Now, let me tell you about the star of the show - the food! The flavors were a delightful explosion of Pakistani cuisine. From succulent kebabs to aromatic biryanis, my taste buds were in heaven. I highly recommend trying their chicken karahi - it was a mouthwatering dish that left me craving for more. And let's not forget to give a big shoutout to Prashant, our friendly and attentive waiter. He made the dining experience even more enjoyable with his excellent service. He was quick to recommend some of their popular dishes and was always there to ensure we had everything we needed. All in all, Rustom is definitely a must-visit if you're a fan of Pakistani cuisine. Delicious food, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service by Prashant.

If you are in Edinburgh and you are searching for Pakistani Indian cuisine halal restaurant than should must try Rustom Restaurant located on 2 Grosvenor St,Edinburgh EH12 5EG. It is very good halal restaurant. The food taste and quantity is very good as compared to prices. The owner name is Suhail Akhtar he is very nice humble and cooperative guy. Whenever you go there just ask help from Suhail for ordering he will guide you very well. Call for reservation if you are more than 5 person to avoid any waiting. We are three families of 15 persons and our bill was around £230 which is very economically as compare to other restaurants in Edinburgh. Believe me you will love all foods serve there and wanna go again. Fully recommend ❤️❤️❤️

I had a great time stop by at Rustom restaurant a few days ago. Xshan provided such an excellent service, everything was absolutely great! The food, the service and a beautiful interior design. I ordered Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Shashlik, the food was to die for, chili sauce was superb! Highly recommended and will be back next time I visit Edinburgh.
