Since writing my first review 2 years ago, Field remains my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Never disappointed, whether lunch or dinner, the dishes are perfectly presented, bursting with flavours that can all be accompanied by the various options on the excellent wine list.
Always made to feel
We visited here on the 11th Oct before a show at the festival theatre. We arrived early and were able to sit at our table. Food was very very good and value for money on pre theatre was fab!!. Very creative use of ingredients and flavours. Portions may be a bit on the small side. Definitely a good dining experience. Do make reservations as it's a small space that can't accommodate many and is usually busy in the evenings!

The service was friendly, it was easy to get a table, despite the small dining room size, and each detail of the dish was top notch.
