Good simple food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. I go away few times a year with friends or before concerts at the Queen's Hall. It never disappoints. I love the grilled chicken. Very tasty.

A group of us had dinner at Hanedan's on Wednesday night. One of my friends had been before and she highly recommended it.
Hanedan's has a quirky, yet intimate feel inside; it's not just one big room there are a couple of different seating areas.
We ordered some meze to share to start our meal and we opted for the filo pastry with feta and spinach, spicy garlic sausage, halloumi and meat balls in a tomato sauce. Everything was delicious but my favourite was probably the filo filled pastry; I even enjoyed the meat balls, which I'm not usually a fan of, but I thought the sauce tasted extremely fresh and full of flavour.
For my main I chose the mixed grill on a recommendation from my friend and it was an excellent choice. The meats we received were lamb, chicken and sausage. The lamb was especially delicious but everything was cooked very well, and served with rice with chili sauce.
The restaurant staff seemed quite rushed as it was pretty busy but I still had a great experience here. The food at Hanedan's was a pleasant surprise for me as I didn't know what to expect, yet it will now be my go to place for Turkish food in Edinburgh.

We love Hanedan. We eat here a lot and have never been disappointed. It has a cosy atmosphere and service is always excellent. We always have the houmous and usually the thinly sliced steak which is delicious. They do an Eton Mess type dessert with pineapple or strawberry which is really good. The coffee is excellent as is the baklava.

An amazing place with great food and always a warm welcome. Have lost count of the number of times we've been. Prices are very reasonable too. Try the mezze for two as your starter.

I came here with a friend one Thursday evening - we booked ahead as my friend had said the establishment was small so wanted to ensure we got a table. The restaurant is small, but it is so beautiful inside. There was only a few staff which was all that was needed but they were really nice and friendly.

The food was outstanding! I didn't know what to order so my friend suggested the lamb liver as a hot starter to mix with some cold starters. We both had a mixed grill as a main course. The food was amazing and I really enjoyed my evening there. I think the next time I will order more starters and almost have a 'tapas' style meal so I can try a bit of everything (shared though!) . The restaurant isn't in the centre of Edinburgh and parking on the street can be a bit tight but I would highly recommend this restaurant! Additionally, the price of our meal was very very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

It's easy to 5 stars and think it's an ad. But this was a brilliant meal. The rustic small look may out the quick passers by. But in side is a gem. The food is fantastic best I have eaten in while. Fresh and good to perfection. The service is lovely as well. Me and the wife thoroughly enjoyed it. We don't normally write reviews but this was worth it.

I just had a simple chicken skewers but they were absolutely delicious. Juicy, full of flavour, perfect choice of spices. My partner had a rib eye and it was nowhere short of perfection. Also, amazingly professional and nice service. Highly recommended place!

Delicious food and fantastic service. Our waiter Han couldn't have been better, training new staff while simultaneously being courteous, attentive and a good laugh as well. We had the mixed meze deal (five dishes for £16 altogether) and tried the liver too, which was enough to feel stuffed. The olives and pitta bread thrown in were a great touch. The décor, ambiance and atmosphere were great, which just adds to the experience. My partner and I are just visiting Edinburgh, but when we're back we'll be sure to go into Hanedan again!

This is not the first time I've eaten here, as my pal lives just round the corner, but I thought I had to leave a quick review. There is a simple family feel to the restaurant where you are welcomed by the sight of all the food being cooked, which I love. The food itself is delicious and the portions very generous. This time my friends and I were served by someone who could not have been more delightful. She managed, with the chef (who I think is the owner), to provide excellent service as well as having a fantastic sense of humour. Is was like having our own show at the Fringe Festival. A really fantastic night was had by all.

Fantastic wee grill restaurant - the meze are great, and the lamb is really prepared well. It's not fine dining, but everything is made with care and tastes lovely. I love the liver dish they have too - just the right amount of spicing and cooking - tender and delicious.

My wife and I both went for the two course deal at £11.95 each. Bread and olives ( complementary) were a nice start to the meal. We chose starter as hummus - plenty, tasty - with lovely warm bread. Nice swirl of tomato ‘jus’ on the hummus plus little jar of chilli sauce. All great. Main course was chicken shish, with salad and rice. Excellent tasty chicken, very tender. Great, fluffy rice. All in all a great meal, very good and great attention and service from very friendly staff. At other tables we saw some great dishes being served abs very happy customers. We’re staying at the Ascot - local b&b, and recommend that, too!!

Easily my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh! The mixed meze starter is delicious, definitely the best way to start your dinner. And the lamb moussaka is just stunning, hands down my favourite dish on the menu. Also the staff are so lovely and the service is first class! Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Edinburgh! ☺️
