We loved this place and their heart warming staff.
Food was too good. Very spicy and just the way we like it at home.
What a memorable evening it was!
Although, we had little hungriness so we ordered bhindi fry and matar paneer with two naans and boiled rice only.
But in Edinburgh so far away from India, you getting such soft n crispy naans with fantastic veggies! What else you wish for in life.
We are very happy and really wish to go back again soon.

We visited this restaurant mid week whilst in the city on business. It started off very quiet and they seated us in the window but within an hour the place was almost full and buzzing. The food was a very good standard and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this restaurant again when in the city.
Great place. Doesn't look much from the outside but lovely inside; friendly staff who were very helpful and knowledgable about allergens and gluten free dining (huge bonus). Food was great, everyone in our group agreed they would like to return- limited veg options.
Simply amazing. I think it's one of the best Indian in the UK that I had.

We ordered the chicken tikka massalam and the sag aloo with saffron rice and butter naan, which was just the right amount of food for two people. Our server informed us that the chef has over 30 years of experience, which really shows. The restaurant has limited seating so it’s best to make a reservation for dinner. We will be back soon for more.
Tried this place after seeing a long wait at another nearby Indian restaurant. Boy am I glad we ended up here. The assorted kebab was moist and flavorful and the peshwari naan was AMAZING. Palok pair and chicken Tika were also very good. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was a little slow to come out but WELL worth the small wait.
Delicious food, the rice alone was worth it (more flavour than your average pulao). Prices reasonable for the central location.
Friendly staff made for a lovely dinner. Food was delicious. Vindaloo was excellent without being lethally spicy and the tarkal dhal was very flavoursome

Garlic nan with yellow coconut curry is amazing. We also had chef’s ram blah, it was okay though. Nice service, good location.
The craving for Indian food on a vacation in Edinburgh is highly satisfied by Zest. The hospitality and taste of food are the highlight of this place. Highly recommended if you are in for some spices and curries. Lots of vegetarian options available. Cheers !
We had returned from a day sightseeing and hadn’t made a reservation but it was no problem, they managed to accommodate us. The staff were attentive and the food was wonderful. We were made to feel very welcome and they were happy to advise on the menu. Lovely last evening in Edinburgh - thank you

Definitely better than the nearby Dishoom which is not very authentic & overpriced to boot.
When you see this place from the outside it doesn't look like a restaurant, but you should really go there! The staff was really nice, the food arrived quick and it was absolutely delicious! I've seen lines outside other, more expensive, Indian restaurants. Skip those and come to this place instead. Worth it!
The dinner we had here was outstanding, especially the lamb dhansak. Attentive and warm service. Would highly recommend!
