What a joy ... the best GF DF savory scone I’ve ever had ... phenomenal sweet treats. I ate the caramel brownie and the next day I enjoyed the cinnamon donut cupcake (very sweet rich frosting!). The vibe warmed my heart because it reminded me of my hometown in Portland, Oregon. Can’t wait for next weekend trip to Edinburgh from London. I should have had my husband get a treat there - he’s not GF or DF and very picky about eating my subsitutes, but I bet even he would like it! We’ll be back! Thank you so much.
Amazing selection of gluten free and vegan cakes, brownies and various other delights (FROSTING SHOTS!) Everything clearly labeled and great care taken to avoid cross-contamination. Come for the cupcakes, stay for the blondies :)
Can gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free baked goods be yummy? Yes, they can at Sugar Daddy’s Bakery. We loved the lemon blondie (not too sweet) and the sea-salt caramel sandwich cookie (very sweet, super smooth filling). My companion had the white chocolate pecan giant cookie and recommends it! The coffee has scope for improvement, consider changing the roast.
Looking forward to try some of the savoury gluten free options and the lovely bread. With gluten intolerance becoming more frequent, this bakery will surely grow in success.
Sugar Daddy's made our wedding cake and it was absolutely divine. We had the victoria sponge and lemon drizzle and had so many compliments from our guests. Amy was wonderful to work with, she wasn't phased by any changes we made. The cake was truly one of my favourite parts of the day!!
I always enjoy the cakes, cookies and brownies whenever I visit. I’m not a big fan of the cookie dough, but I think that’s just me being fussy! Everything else is top notch. Deffo recommend visiting!
This was pretty good! As a coeliac and vegan, it was bliss to find a 100% gluten free bakery that also offers quite a few vegan options. It was hard to choose as there were quite a few options and everything looked appetising, but I went for the chocolate brownie chunk in the end, which was very sticky and luxurious. Paired really well with my soya latte.
I also bought a couple of cheesy tikka scones for my flight later on that day. Great to see even the savoury offerings had a vegan option. It was a bit dry, but I’m sure it would have been great if heated in a microwave prior.
All in all, if I ever visit Edinburgh again, I hope to visit this place quite a few times. Could do with some sitting area, but highly recommended nonetheless. And although I didn’t manage to see it, they have a dog!
Really lovely shop with a great variety of sweets and breads. Their lemon cupcake might be one of the best I’ve ever tasted (no pic because it’s already eaten haha). Everything is fresh and tasty and staff are warm and friendly.
Found this outstanding bakery during my recent trip to Edinburgh for the Fringe.
They are not only gluten-free, but they also cater to vegans, with lots of fabulously tasty options.
I left with four different cakes to try and share, each were absolutely delicious and enjoyed by everyone (even the non-vegans).
Definitely a must when visiting this beautiful city. Highly recommended.
Amazing bakery for coeliacs! I’m so happy to have this gem nearby for whenever I have cravings for something sweet. They have so much variety and change what is available on weekly basis, so you never get tired and I love that they have all allergens clearly labelled for all their products. They do tend to have less stock towards the end of the day, so I recommend going early on as you’ll have more choice. Also it is worth mentioning that there’s no indoor seating available, but the Meadows is of close proximity with plenty of benches available. One of the best gluten free bakeries I have personally tried! The staff are super friendly and their treats delicious! Definitely recommend!
Sugadaddys made over 100 cupcakes for my wedding - they were absolutely fantastic! Lots of compliments from guests on how delicious they were and how pleasing to the eye they looked as well! The whole process of getting the cupcakes made was very easy - quick replies to emails and very willing to accommodate the decorations we were looking for! Even got 4 cupcakes to take home to try as tasters for deciding flavours! Highly recommend for weddings!
Entirely gluten free bakery with loads of sweet treats! Savoury options for lunch too but they do sell out fast! I go everytime I'm in Edinburgh, it's just too good to miss!
Sugar Daddy's Bakery not only has put a lot of time and effort into the look and design of their shop but the cakes themselves too. Every cake looks beautiful, is displayed nicely and taste fantastic. Each food item is clearly marked what allergies it caters for. Fantastic if you are gluten free, vegan or have allergies.
