Very nice and warm service. Each one of our 5 dishes were amazing, especially the seafood dishes. The tiramisu was also very good and fresh. We stayed late at night but they were so nice in having us after 10pm until we finished.

Went for a wine paired dinner and had a fantastic experience. First time but the food and service will definitely get me going back.

Great place for a taste of Sardinia. We had both tuna and it was very tasty. I've never got such a huge steak before, let alone this cheap. Though I would suggest, even if you like your steaks quite rare, go at least for medium with the alla Carlofortina as it is stewed rather than baked/fried and you probably wouldn't enjoy it that much as it gets quite moist and lacks the umami. Sardinian wine was great as well and very friendly service.

Elegant, but family friendly. Typical Italian restaurant, but with a Sardinian twist. Traditional decor and traditional Italian hospitality and excellent customer service. We went for a quick bite and sampled jumbo shrimps coated in crunchy polenta batter with tomato sauce, fregola with eggplants and ricotta salata, malloreddus (Sardinian gnocchi) with zucchini, cheese and saffron. Everything was excellent. We are planning to go back when we will have more time to try the typical Sardinian wine Cannonau, other fish delicacies and desserts! Almost forgot, complimentary Sardinian flat bread, Pane Carasau, lovely!

Sardinian food in Edinburgh. We tried different dishes. I would recommend the appetisers. The main courses are a bit plain for the price. Try their desserts. They are good.

5 stars all round for this fantastic find on my first visit to the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, which was only surpassed by the food. Definitely recommend to others 👌

Traditional Sardinian/Italian style restaurant, it has a reasonable menu and an ok selection of drinks. It's a tad pricey but I was happy to pay, not just for the excellent food quality but the staff. The chef was visible and his cooking skills were obvious to see as well as taste - it's worth going there just for his skills. What really made it for me were the two front of house staff. It was a full restaurant and the two didn't stop, hugely efficient, knowledgeable, helpful and just the nicest two people I've met in a while. The lead, dark hair and black framed glasses, was incredible and had an immediate rapport with everyone who came in. The other one, long red hair and local, was in support but (she served us) was nothing short of excellent. Will I go again? Yes, of course, this is a great venue and as it's open 6 nights of the week (closed Mondays) I will definitely return. Thanks Isola.

Just Amazing. We are 2 Fussy Italians :) and we never eat @ Italian food out as it's always disappointing. But ISOLA what can we say I couldn't stop eating. The flavours are just amazing. The atmosphere exactly what you wished every restaurant had. Federica serving and taking orders was just Amazing. She explained everything and was so enthusiastic and welcoming. Thank you guys for the lovely night and for making our 17th Anniversary Just Perfect.
