Solid Italian eatery just off the main road. Visited for lunch, tried two pasta dishes.
Pasta was a good quality and sauces were tasty. I forgot to take photos, I was hungry from all the walking. Service was ok.
A lovely small authentic Italian restaurant providing excellent service. The food is seriously delicious! A small menu selection but with a specials board that would leave you disappointed.
A hidden gem. Domenico's remains my favourite place to eat lunch in Edinburgh. Its warm and friendly welcome is matched by quality dishes, from beautifully judged plates of pasta to their excellent seafood stew, Domenico's is a "must-visit" :-)
Domenicos. This family restaurant is very friendly, the food is as fresh as can be and cooked to order. The bruschetta is out of this world and I would recommend it as one of the best in Leith. Also the atmosphere and chat is very relaxing, a place you could dine alone but not be alone. Go on give it a try you wont be disappointed.
Lovely friendly small Italian restaurant - great staff
Friendly stop off.. A great place to stop for a good cup of coffee and great pasta. It is a little on the pricey side for what it is though.
Domenicos has the best Italian sandwiches in town for really good prices (~ยฃ2.50). The large sandwiches are made to order from a ton of ingredients such as: salami, chicken, beef, sundried tomatoe, roasted red pepper, pickled mushrooms, several varieties of cheese, humous, assortment of sauces and other toppings.
...usual excellent standard, with top quality ingredients coming together in rich mouthfuls of gutsy flavour. The lightly smoked prosciutto was particularly tasty, and boy have I missed the generous helping of rocket that typically tops a Domenico's roll. It seems an odd thing to miss, but its subtle pepperiness really adds to the overall enjoyment.
We haven't had such amazing Italian food for a while! Everything is definitely worth it, we've ordered a starter of the day (nduja, avocado & prawns bruscetta), main of the day - halibut with potatoes in creamy leek and artichoke sauce and venison ragu. Everything exceeded our expectations. Flavorsome, big portions. Super nice staff and overall atmosphere make this place an absolute gem!
Loved it. Service was great. They had us cracking up. Lovely food, the produce was so nice. Tomatoes ๐
that were ripe and flavouful, gorgeous wild mushrooms ๐ . Good size portions. Really nice lighting and general feel. Everything is made fresh, and that's obvious.
There's a separate vegan menu too ๐
After attempting to eat here on Saturday, and failing, we booked for Sunday. So glad we did! Great service, super atmosphere and the food was simply outstanding. We had the Haggis Fettucine and the Frutti di Mare Linguine. Both were amazingly delicious but also full of ingredients. Would highly recommend.
Cute little restaurant close to the shore. I'd say a gem! Our waiter was amazing, super funny - I didn't catch his name unfortunately. The portions of pasta are huge, and the chocolate orange cake was fantastic. Definitely coming back!
As locals weโve been here a couple of times; itโs a lovely cosy Italian restaurant of a type you rarely find in the UK anymore. Just great quality food, unpretentiously presented, and excellent value for money.
But been moved to write the review after they went the extra mile to fit us in near closing time when another venue let us down.
Despite the late hour, the kitchen produced two delicious steaks and the service remained friendly and efficient.
We will definitely be back.
I went once and had to go back. The first time we sat down to eat pasta and the second time we ordered take away ciabattas. And both options are just delicious. The attention is great, and the price is fair. Definitely recommend it.
Domenico's is a small family run Italian restaurant serving a great selection of truly tasty food. Having dined there on a number of occasions, I've never been disappointed.
If you're peckish at lunchtime, then there's always their amazing sandwiches with such a variety of fillings - don't forget there's often a queue for them, so perhaps factor in a little waiting time. They also do takeaway pasta ๐
Plenty of local parking in the evening & w/e but local parking charges Mon - Fri now. A number of buses run nearby with bus stop v near.
The sea food pasta was sooooo good ! Very fresh and opened up the appรฉtit ! The service is warming as well ! Totally worth a five star after my gin tour !
Food was nice at good price. However, I was surprised at the service. We ordered 3 starters and 1 pasta. All our dishes came together. When we got to eat the pasta, it was a bit cold already. I wish I could have my food served at the right order, especially when a service fee is charged.
Dominico's is easily my favourite Italian restaurant, if not, favourite restaurant in Edinburgh ๐ฏ Dominico's is a must visit and if you're visiting Edinbirgh City Centre, it's a great reason to explore Leith Walk and end it with an outstanding meal ๐ฎ๐น
Dominico's has many great reasons to visit ~
๐ฅฐ #1 service with super chatty and fun staff that are always ready to help and have a lot of personality
๐ Food is so so so incredible and closest to the authentic food you get in Italy (t. an Italian ๐) - p.s. the Balmoral Chicken special that comes up every so often is so so so good, and so is the duck breast special ๐ฅ
๐ฆ Outstanding dessert, the homemade tirumisu is a must try and is a great, light way to finish off an amazing meal
For those visiting Edinburgh or is a local and haven't given Dominico's a chance yet - please do, you won't regret it ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐น
