I met friends for a pre theatre dinner. We all had different choices from the market menu and everyone agreed that it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.

Added bonus the prosecco was on offer. The staff were all amazing and attentive too

Great restaurant giving top class food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings in the heart of Edinburgh. If you have the chance, go to this lovely place!
I recommended this place.

Dine opened relatively recently above the Traverse Theatre. This is a beautifully formed restaurant, circular in design and reoccurring in theme with a tree as a central focus. There was also an additional bar area off to the side. Melon Colada – Dine. The menus had lots on offer and we could both pretty much eat everything on offer as it all sounded delicious. I decided to order from the a la carte menu and went for ceviche of rock bass followed by venison. My dining partner for the evening decided to go with the incredibly good value market menu (£17.50 for three courses!) and opted for the ham hock terrine followed by seabream. She opted for a large glass of wine and I asked to see the cocktail menu, which offered great variety and went for a melon colada which I thought might compliment the flavours of my starter. It was delicious and would quite happily drink more!

Dine with Stuart Muir has only been open a couple of weeks and so the place is pretty quiet, but now is the time to go and try it out before more people find out about this hidden gem. The express menu makes Dine’s great food accessible to those with tighter budgets, or makes a great option for a pre-theatre meal. Either way, it’s well worth checking out.

A most enjoyable meal. Service was quick and non intrusive. Each course was delicious. Pork and ham rillette was moist and full of flavour, the pear and Lanark blue cheese a perfect match. Mains consisted of partridge with fluffy potatoes as well as crispy skin cod with cauliflower. Puddings were tasty with a thick chocolate pot and buttery shortbread and a festive trio of ice cream from Stewart Tower Dairy.

This is not my first time at Dine and it certainly won't be my last either. The food is so fresh and utterly delightful. The drinks and cocktails are wonderful and some lovely chat from Angus at the bar after my meal too. The market deal is fabulous, as a solo diner I had 3 courses and a half bottle of wine for just £28. An absolute bargain! Compliments to the chefs too. A lovely experience and would highly recommend xxx

This is a very nice restaurant in Edinburgh. Its location is a bit off the main street and on the 2nd floor. But the decorations are very contemporary. The food is good with a modern twist. It is gourmet but not Scotland local food. Overall, a good experience.

We had a lovely experience here through their Itison offer - 4-course Sunday dining for 2 persons with a bottle of champagne (£89). I especially loved my starter of shredded duck leg, and my husband said the braised lamb shoulder was one of the best he's had. They were very accommodating of his dietary requirements too. The vibe is chilled, with sofy dark furnishings and decor (the tree centrepiece is a nice touch). Makes a perfect pre-theatre venue for an early meal or drinks as they also offer a £5 cocktail selection before 6pm.

The Venison fish is such a delight!! Combined so well with hazelnut. Really enjoyed dining service from Channing and it was her first day at Dine and I thought she was a pro. Well done! And thank you for such a lovely night.

It’s not new that Dine is amongst the best restaurants someone can visit in Edinburgh. The flavours of the dishes are so fulfilling that makes you enjoy every bite. We chose to got with the a la cart option in order to do our version of three course dishes and we really enjoyed it. It’s a restaurant that I would strongly recommend to visit in Edinburgh as the chefs are putting a lot of effort to provide an amazingly tasty experience.

Just of Castle Terrace in the traverse theater. Up on flight of stairs and there is a lift. Nice design of Dine at the stairs. Restaurant is modern interior with a tree in the middle that breaks things up. Lunch menu- 2/3 courses excellent value. Had the black pudding croquette- excellent dish and the mains of Beef pave- again excellent. Had the classic cocktails for £5! Amazing value. The margarita was excellent- shaken not frappe and the Americano. Vibrant on a Wednesday lunch time! Good service. Fantastic weekend day lunch choice!

Was celebrating colleagues' 60th birthday. Lovely table, George, our waiter was fantastic. The food was good, went for cocktails after in their bar, and they were lovely. There was a choir in for the evening, and every so often, they burst into song. (Quite strange and not to everyone's liking). There was only one thing and it was nothing really to do with the restaurant, but it was at the end of our night , we were taking photo's and I asked one of the waiters if he wouldn't mind taking a photo of all 4 of us. The look he gave me and said "well I suppose so." Quite rudely, took the photo and handed me back my tablet and left. One of my friends said "well he certainly didn't want to do that." It may not be in their job description, but it was just a request . We has a lovely evening

The interior and the atmosphere when entering suggests fine dining and a dress code, but everybody was very relaxed and friendly and most of the other guests came "as they were", so this should not stop you from going here. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. The food was excellent, the wine list and the cocktails we had proved that someone knows his or her business. It is not a cheap Restaurant, but very goof value for money. I would go there regularly if I lived in Edinburgh.

Lovely restaurant in Edinburgh city centre. The food was very flavourful. We got a voucher on it is on and they had a separate Sunday menu for the deal. Really user friendly and great chance to try the restaurant. Gluten free options.

Nice venue and very convenient for a work lunch. Lunch menu is good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. I wished the chef hadn't been so generous with the pepper in my carbonara.

Nice restaurant. Food was really excellent. Staff were very attentive and kind. Only thing was the restaurant was VERY loud and could really do with some heavy curtains or something to absorb some of the noise. This kinda ruined the vibe.

Thoroughly enjoyed the three course pre theatre meal at Dine Edinburgh. Great selection for all. Every dish was tasty and beautifully presented. Feels like a high end fine dining experience without being over the top or pretentious. Would highly recommend.

A very pleasant experience overall; food was really nice, especially the seabass, oysters - excellent, good cocktails as well, although some were just tiny. Staff were very attentive and with number of waiters visible throughout - this appears to be a norm. Left the place very happy, which is all one could wish for.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I have gone back and forth and have to say that this has been the best place we have ever been to. The food is outstanding, the cocktails out of this world and the service is beyond reproach. The entire service is one well oiled machine. Fast service and no long waits between courses. Unlike other places with a named chef Stuart was actually there working away with his team. Huge thank you to Christina who waited on us and Ollie from the bar who served great drinks and went off menu for us to create several drinks for us that were amazing. Most certainly we will be back and will recommend this to everyone we know coming to Edinburgh.
