Chizuru Tei - Edinburgh - Photo album

The food is great and the staff are friendly. Totally great value for the price. We were alerted when we walked in that they are cash only restaurant, we had some cash, so it was not an issue for us. They also don't serve any alcohol, but that is also perfectly fine for us.
Everything we had a Chizuru Tei was delicious! The sushi was beautifully presented. It took a little while to come out but they did say this on the menu as there is only one chef who makes all the sushi by hand. We had a mix of sushi and big plates. The big plate we had was the chicken teppanyaki
Delicious Japanese food. We ordered far too much! Tempura was lovely and light and crispy. Dragon Roll was a masterpiece. Everything we had was perfect. Note it’s cash only and unlicensed but they do BYOB.
Fantastic food! Extremely tasty. I love the chicken katsu curry from here, it tastes super authentic! The sushi is also a must try.
Best fresh sushi in Edinburgh in my opinion. Make sure to bring cash, place is a cash only payment. Food they serve is perfect. Nice atmosphere. Easily one of the best.
Good food, good atmosphere and above all is great staff. The main waitress behind the counter is not only attentive but also friendly. Excellent service tbh. Have nothing to complain. NOTE: it's cash only
I checked this place on Google Map since they have amazing reviews. Once I sat there I can’t agree more!!!! Nice sushi and rolls!! I suggest you try their Chef’s recommendation dishes. Staff was really nice and friendly. I feel very welcomed. I was very impressed with their services!!! I need to c
Insanely great quality of food! Great authentic sushi and sashimi. Hidden gem which does not catch the eye. Service is great. Cash only but that is absolutely fine. No alcohol is served but you can bring your own drink/bottle and they charge a very very small fee per person (sth like £2). Prices are
The promised city of gold, el dorado, would be a let down in the face of the achievement that is the golden roll. Every time as i put a tender ripe morsel in my mouth, i imagine it cannot recapture its initial triumph, and yet it does. I fly back to scotland and the thought of it haunts me, sweaty d
Our first food stop in Edinburgh. This little cozy restaurant is definitely worth a stop! We had the unagi rice box and pork katsu curry rice. Both very delicious and portions were pretty generous. Service was very friendly but be aware no card payment only cash :) We'll be back for sure!
I love Japanese food so much that it is hard to give less than 4 stars. I saw on the menu some twists to the classic starters and rolls. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Service very attentive, careful and friendly. The overall experience was very nice but there are other places competing
Very small, family run business. Reservation is definitely needed. Food is absolutely outstanding and prices are very resonable for the quality of food. Also have a gluten free menue. Would definitely go back there.
The BEST sushi ever in UK!!! ***Cash Only*** We looooovvvve sushi, and of course here has a lot of delicious food in Edinburgh. But this one I gotta say, it’s no doubt to be the best we have tried so far. Environment: Tiny but the decor is lovely. Not so many seats, so better come early or just make
Went there for lunch and had beef szechuan, it came with ricee and vegetables. The portion is large and it was nice. If you don't like sweet taste, you might not like it. The vegetables are fresh and my friend who ordered tempura udon said it was very nice. The payment is cash only so dont forget to
Chizuru Tei definitely ranks above average among Japanese restaurants in Edinburgh, yet not the top quality of Japanese food I have had here. Their best come with the rolls - I love the dragon roll with avocado which is always a great compliment to such dishes. We had their tempura twice, first tim
The rice for the chirashi don was not great - it wasn’t sticky enough. The raw fish in the bowl was really fresh though, and more generous than anywhere else I’ve been in Edinburgh. Loved the green bean salad, miso eggplant and tempura. Amazing service - the waitress was extremely kind and attentive
First time in restaurant for a meal, wanted to try Japanese. Excellent meal, fresh ingredients. Had mixed starter, then had katsu chicken curry with rice. Took own bottle of wine, which was £2 per person for corkage. Would definitely recommend and go back in the future.
One of the best sushi I ever had. Very good price-quality ratio. You must try breadcrumb honey chicken it’s amazing! Portions are quite big so don’t overfill your order, especially if you want to go for egg fried rice with your appetisers. 5/5 from us.
The waiters were super helpful. As we had a train to rush, they managed to give us the fried rice and fried noodles in 5 mins, which is amazing. The food tasted good but not excellent.
