Been here a couple of times. Really tasty gelato, maybe the best I’ve tasted. I was drawn to the gelato doughnut. It was amazing! Very customisable as well so you can choose any flavour in your doughnut. The next time I visited I came with my wife. We ordered 1 freakshake, 1 milkshake and waffles. Sadly the woman that served us wasn’t the friendliest. I mean she wasn’t rude but could have been a little nicer. The gentleman that was there (I believe manager) was on the other hand spot on and very accommodating. Everything tasted lovely. The only problem we had we had was that the whipped cream machine broke so the cream that we received for our waffles was a complete mess. I wouldn’t have served it tbh or at least offered the customer whether they wanted extra gelato instead. Does it’s the mess it still tasted nice. The prices were a little on the expensive side but it is to be expected as it’s in city centre.

Small joint on the road towards Arthur's seat. Their donut-icecreams were really good. Variety of options available on waffles and shakes. Friendly staff.

I've tried the "doughnut" filled with a mix of ice cream (your choice) and some cookies (like KitKat, Kinder Bueno, ...) crushed all together. It was delicious!!! I encourage you to taste it. Besides, the staff was very friendly 😊. I'll come back!

I was drawn by gelatto donut as well. I thought it would taste just as bad as normal snack bars in touristic city, but IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! It was warm outside and cold inside. It wasnt crispy tho. It was 6.5 pounds which i thought was a bit expensive, but considering that it's on Royal Mile and the quality of the food, I would definitely visit once more and taste other menus as well.

If you are having a walk in the old city of Edinburgh then you must take a break at this amazing Ice cream shop. At The beginning You will really enjoy the very welcoming staff. After that get ready for an extraordinary sundaes and waffles even the hot drinks were very good.

Stumbled across Smoov when wandering past but so glad I did. Dog friendly which is a must for me but the staff were so friendly. Ice cream looked Amazing (yes with a capital A) but has a waffle which was to die for. Not too sweet and plenty of it. Reasonably prices for the city. Will definitely be back.

This place is really nice. There's many gluten free options to eat and I just love it. We ate waffles, brownies and ice cream, and every meal was really tasty (I want to come back soon!). The coffee was good too, and the staff was very nice, very kind, it felt warm. I deeply recommend this place!

Very smooth and flavour rich ice cream, one of the best you'll have here in Edinburgh. Give a try to the bubble gum flavor, it was the yummy and tastiest of the four I tried. Also don't forget their specialty, the gelato doughnuts, which was very soft and tasty as well. Friendly staff.

Really nice place for a break while visiting Edinburgh. The staff is friendly and the shop is really colourful and inviting. Here you can get ice cream, milkshakes, waffles or doughnuts with ice cream, we chose the latter. The reason why I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 is that the coffee was a bit too bitter and I didn’t love the doughnuts but that’s probably just personal flavour. Anyway I really liked the shop and would probably go back to try a different product.

Amazing organic gelato, they have large portions (which are delicious) and average pricing. The staff are super friendly and passionate. I would recommend coming at least once.

Great place to stop for late night(closes at 8PM) gelato or waffle. My wife and I both got the waffle with Nutella and Banana. Delicious! The also have gluten free and lactose free which is amazing. Staff was so nice!! Highly recommended!

The gelato is indeed very special, completely different from what you can find elsewhere. The ice-cream filled donuts are a treat, but the other dishes are also great, and everything is done to order. A really nice place.

Delicious ice cream (gelato) with fantastic customer service. There isn't much indoor seating but it tends to not be busy so in the two times I went there (different days, different times) there was always a table available. Prices are not cheap but aren't high either, perhaps even cheaper than other gelato cafes in Edinburgh. Portion sizes are also very generous, unlike at other cafes, which makes it much more worth it. However, I would not recommend the gelato filled donut. It's an interesting idea but isn't worth the price. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious, but it's the classic hot & cold combo. It would have made zero difference if the ice cream was just scooped on top of a normal donut. For the same price you can get a tub overfilled with 3 different flavours of gelato.

This place is so delicious- like I’ve never heard of a gelato donut and that thing was delicious! Me and my friends all wish we could rate this 10/5 and the workers were so friendly!

Smoov is a really nice little cafe on the Royal Mile with a charming shabby chic vibe. There aren't lots of seats, which gives it a more exclusive atmosphere. I can highly recommend the jerk chicken stromboli, a sort of turnover sandwich I've never encountered before, similar to panini but fatter and with more filling. It was fantastic. The chillionaire's shortbread too was delicious, with a deep layer of sweet, sticky caramel. My wife opted for the hot chocolate float, a hot chocolate with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and marshmallows on top. All are highly recommended and make an excellent as a treat after walking up Arthur's Seat. The rest of our exhausted group agreed that stopping here was a good choice - I didn't try it but the waffle was huge. The only improvement they could make is on speed of service. The 2 staff got sidetracked by a large group coming in for ice cream and part of our group's order was delayed. They were thirsty and really wanted their drink without having to wait for their food order to be completed first, which was held up with only 1 person trying to sort out a panini, a waffle, a smoothie and a V60 filter coffee.

Our newly discovered special treat place in the heart of Edinburgh! The food and coffee are prepared with so much care, it just adds that 'sth extra' to their deliciousness. You know the feeling when you want to give yourself something special, just enjoying the moment? Smoov is absolutely the right place for that. Cosy atmosphere, even the kids loved the music, friendly team and really really yummy waffles/ice-cream and coffee to indulge in forever. Definitely coming back!
