Not our first time at this lovely place. Excellent food, try the Spag/ meatballs delicious. My Hubbs had a meat pizza he said best he's tasted. The views from the Conservatory are breathtakingly beautiful. Friendly staff too. Reasonable price too. Highly recommended.
Just had a great 24oz ribeye steak on the bone cooked to perfection . This comes highly recommended to the meat lovers out there . Would also like to thank the great staff for the hospitality 5 star as always

We popped in on the off chance of a table. 5.30pm on Sunday, extremely busy where others would have refused us, we were made welcome, told in advance the length of time for food. The food was more than worth the waiting time... excellent.

Lovely meal! Garlic bread with cheese was amazing. Rib eye steak and mixed grill were both excellent. Service fantastic
We have been to The Toby many times now and have now made it our regular place to eat. There is plenty of choice to suit all tastes and each time the food is excellent with good service, we always feel very welcome and it is in a fabulous spot too.

We have been going to The Toby for many years (25-30years) and I can in all honesty say we have never had a bad meal. A part from once when Hubby's steak was not cooked correctly. But his problem is he likes his steak very, very well done. The Owner, manager and of course the staff are all very helpful and friendy

Stunning countryside views and ample parking spaces greet you on arrival as well as a warm and friendly team.
A superb menu choice and specials board and a wide selection of drinks, ales, and cocktails.
To start, goats cheese brussetta and homemade breaded mumshrooms were excellent, followed by the roast beef and a steak pie, both mains were also excellent and the beef succulent
The dining room overlooks the wonderful countryside view.
Booking is recommended, and we look forward to returning.
In September 2023, we returned for our 2nd visit, and The Toby Inn was superb once again.
There is a real buzz when seated near the open fronted kitchen. It helps create such a great atmosphere in the large open dining area. Both sides of the dining room offer a great experience.
This is such a well-oiled machine with both front of house and the kitchen striving for perfection.
The parma ham and mozzarella brussettas were the perfect starter with excellent quality ingredients and tasted beautiful.
I opted for the chicken supreme Sunday roast dinner from the extensive specials board for a main course. It was perfect! The chicken was succulent and flavourful, roasties soft in the middle, crunchy on the outside. The homemade Yorkshire pudding was the perfect finishing touch!
My husband opted for the special calzone, which was to his delight filled with spicy meat. Another excellent dish.
We have recommended Toby Inn to friends and family and look forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely home cooked food (rare to find a pub that isn't serving microwaved dishes these days). Our overal experience was most enjoyable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming indeed. It was extrememly busy when we arrived but we didn't have to wait too long and our table had a lovely view over the countryside.
We came here on sunday 8th oct 2023, they was bery accommodating as we had the Dog with us.
We sat down and was made very welcome , the owner was in and made sure we was taken care off. The service was excellent and food was very tasty .
Will definitely go again soon it might be our new goto eatery 10/10
My partner and I visited the Toby inn for the 1st st time yesterday, and straight away we got a lovely welcome from the staff.
The food was exceptional and cooked to perfection. I had John Dory fish dish off the specials menu, and it was delicious. We will certainly be visiting again, we both enjoyed it very much.

Decided to give this hostelry a try after reading previous reviews on this website and so glad we did. Everything and everyone lived up to the previous descriptions given. A family run establishment with stunning views and excellent food. The conservatory, being constructed with cast iron supports, gives a victorian feel and adds a definate wow factor to the building. Lovely enjoyable evening finished off with a terrific sunset.
This is a fantastic restaurant that I would definitely recommend to friends and family alike. We went on a Friday tea time approximately 4:30. The service was excellent as it always is and there was a wide range of drinks on offer. I chose the wagu Toby burger for approximately £13. It was very succulent and came with a generous helping of chips plus a lovely coleslaw as well. My son had a margherita pizza which was also lovely. Will be returning as soon as possible
