The Old Nags Head - Edale - Photo album

We had a very lovely time here. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating and even let me try two different mash potatoes(big fan of mash here). Next time visiting Edale will come back for more delicious food and vibes.
I love this pub. It's so popular because it is in an extremely convenient location at the head of this tiny village. People stagger off the hills or visit Edale and need somewhere cosy and welcoming to have a drink or eat. Despite the almost captive audience they can command, the pub doesn't abuse t
Nice pub for a post walk beer. Good selection of beers , reasonably priced, about £5 a pint. Nice beer garden at back and food looked good - we had the fish butty, chips and mushy peas, which was great. Much improved from previous owners!
Go here. Amazing Sunday Lunch, Carvery and all you can eat. All the staff are lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere is great. Built in 1577 and all the charm remain. Fab at the end of a good walk on a Sunday.
I love this place. Ideal location for lunch or some food when in Edale. It's a little out the way so can be hard to get a cab if needed but if you don't it's brilliant
Decent place to have a pint and dinner (gammon steak with chips and peas to be precise) after a few hours of hiking up in the Peaks. I love the fact that there is plenty of seating area outside and you can either enjoy the sunshine or use available parasols to shelter yourself under some shade.
Quality pub in the heart of the peaks and pretty much halfway between Sheffield and Manchester on the train. Excellent place to go after a long walk, plus the food is brilliant. It'll cost you about £45 for two mains and two pints but it's well worth it. I was hesitant to spend the money but when th
Wonderful Location, unique setting, everything you could ask for in a break. History at your fingertips. Absolutely loved our stay, as did all our family. Having great food and drink in the same building was a bonus, The service was quick by friendly staff. Thank You
After a nice hiking around Kinder Scout area we decided to stop at The Old Nags Head for some food. I ordered Foresters Chicken. Sliced chicken breast in creamy sauce with seasonal green vegetables, mushrooms, garlic and mashed potatoes. The meal was tasty and served very quickly. Of course pint of
Very friendly bar lady saves my day today, by letting me bring my road bike into the bar & even kept an eye on it (as I was bursting for the toilet). Stood & chatted with me as I enjoyed a glass of coke & even offered to refill my bike bottle. Her kindness will not be forgotten.
We used the Old Nag's Head as the HQ for the Mam Nick hill climb. Jackie and the staff were excellent and couldn't have done any more to make us feel more welcome. A superb venue.
Had a very tasty Burger and drink, exactly what is required after a long walk. Will certainly be looking to return soon. Thank you team, keep up the good work. Sam
Stopped into the Old Nags Head for food and drinks prior to the walk up Kinder Scout. The food was of exceptional quality, not what I was expecting. If your walking passed, stop in for top quality food at reasonable prices
Beautiful location, amazing old pub, fabulous food, friendly and attentive staff that made us feel very welcome. The service was outstanding even though they were extremely busy. Highly recommend this place, we wish we could have stayed longer
Amazing pub in Edale. Great food, choice of beers, quiz night on Friday, and the owner was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning !
