One should always begin their walks starting from Edale by popping into the Penny pot. It has vegan options - the vegan hot chocolate and vegan roll are our always walk starter options! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they help with route options too. You can sit in or outside if you want or just order a takeout. The vegan food options are not great, but it is a cafe and what is offered is very tasty.

Lovely little cafe next to Edale railway station and over the road from a public car park. Has a main dining area and a small outdoor area. A very nice menu serving nice quality food, Leaf English Breakfast tea and hot chocolate, Chocolate Brownie and Apple & Cinnamon cake. The cakes were a very nice portion. All served by very welcoming staff. The place was nice and clean All at an ok price

As you can see from the photo, I simply couldn't wait to tuck into this scrumptious freshly baked Bakewell Tart, I could be quoted in saying 'This is better than any I've had in Bakewell itself' The Mocha and Vanilla Mocha complimented our pastries beautifully along with the sunkissed view of cottages and looming oak trees was exquisite!

Nice little cafe. Iced coffee, large latter, carrot cake and sausage roll was about £15. Nice food and service, good location after two long walks. We went two days in a row!

Great cafe. Very nice vegan roll. Large cake slices. Good value. Nice to have tea served in a strainer. Pleasant staff. Ate in but there's outdoor seating too.

The best way to end a day on the trail 👍 Very nice atmosphere, brilliant service, reasonably cheap. Top notch coffee and scones. We always end our visits to Edale at The Penny Pot cafe ☕🍪🍮🥧

The Penny Pot Cafe in Edale, Peak District is a very good place to stop for hot drinks and food. I visited as a cyclist on a very cold and wet January day, 2023. I was very glad of the warm stove in the corner of the cafe and a hot coffee with cake. There is a parking area for bikes and outdoor tables to the rear of the cafe and toilet facilities in the cafe. It is a very good cafe for outdoor enthusiasts and has very good customer service.

Popped in for coffee (very good coffee too) after a hike up Mam Tor & Rushup Edge then again a few days later after trekking on Kinder. Staff super friendly, mix of customers consisting of walkers, cyclists & families. Cosy log burner in the corner, lovely after a damp walk. Already eaten so didn't partake but the cake's looked really good (next time). Dog friendly too, top cafe 😊.

Waiting for your train? Then pop in for a great coffee and cakes. There is an information board showing train arrival times. So you will not miss your train. Great stop for walkers to stock up or put your feet up. Friendly staff. Lovely ice cream 🍦
