Spent 2 nights camping here. Lovely site, beautiful setting, loos were perfectly adequate. one down side, no regular food. Had a gourmet burger Saturday lunch time, superb. However, Pewsey 2 miles down the road. Pizza take away mmmmm. Will certainly go again, better prepared food wise.

We had a function for a 25th surprise birthday party, the function room was an ideal size made better by being able to make it our own. We couldn't thank Matt enough for his hard work and great hosting ! Thank you again would highly recommend

I think this is a CAMRA heritage pub. Had a really nice Saturday afternoon in the sunshine mixing with both campers and locals. Four real ales on in excellent condition. Also had a range of lagers and ciders. Burgers (only available fortnightly on Saturdays) were out of this world. Highly recommended.

Loved this place! Met some interesting people and the landlord was great. Enjoyed playing some music outside; just a shame we missed the other musicians that turned up later. Dog friendly; Toilet/shower facilities were good too. Someone commented on it looking like people live on site...even if they do, so what? It didn't impact on us. We will be back.

Thanks Matt and team for hosting our 40 and 50th parties. The Bruce is a fantastic party venue, plenty of space indoors and out with ample camping available, so our guests who wanted to could stay. Those less inclined towards canvas/caravans made use of the many local B&Bs in Pewsey and Easton Royal. This, plus being able to sort our own catering and have a live band, made for a brilliant evening. Matt's the consummate venue host - nothing was too much trouble or a problem. Great to see such a thriving old pub in our gorgeous corner of Wiltshire .

Excellent pub, lovely food with evening meals and breakfast being very reasonable and very good. Its a great place for camping, caravans and campervans and pitches are very flat. We stayed for the Calne bike meet which was a nice ride away, loads of stunning scenery with lots of chocolate box thatched houses. Lovely landlords and lovely staff and great welcoming locals. It's great for everyone cyclists (must be on a well known cycle route as there are lots of cyclists) bikers, campers, motorhomes, caravans... its just a great atmosphere and dog friendly. Met fellow campers from Bristol, Holland, France, Canada and America within two days. Keep up the good work as you have an awesome place.

Lovely country pub with large carpark in a remote location. Decent outdoor seating area both covered and open air. Open log fire in the bar area makes for a warm atmosphere, nice and cosy. Friendly staff greeted with a smile. Had a breakfast here after a morning run and it was very good quality! Small function room is off the main bar complete with a TV, this leads on to a very large function room where we had our breakfast with tea and coffee supplied. This is a lovely pub that’s well worth a visit, based on my experience I would totally recommend, also dog friendly which is a great plus.

Brilliant food, extremely reasonably priced, polite staff, friendly locals, good facilities at the camp site, stayed in our campervan here, simply can't fault the place. Well done to the owners for running a very good typical English countryside pub and doing it perfectly.

Olde world 1800s Ale House with a good selection of Draught beers No food as yet Just been taken over by a very friendly French ex pat who will be introducing food very soon This pub also has a very nice secluded Camping and Caravan are with Hook up. I will definitely be revisiting any time soon.

Lovely little country pub. Bar staff are great. The landlord has an interesting accent, I'm guessing he is not local....
