Excellent traditional fish and chips. Large portions. Always good. Cooked fresh so sometimes a bit of a wait. Consistent quality over many years.
Fantastic experience every single time at Pisces. We’ve been here for two weeks visiting from Toronto, Canada and have already eaten here three times! Yes, it is that delicious! The chips are the most delectable pieces of potatoes you will find anywhere. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection every single time. Multiple gluten-free options available, which is fantastic and so scrumptious you cannot tell the difference. The food is not the only thing drawing us back to this establishment, the atmosphere, cleanliness and fantastic customer service is above and beyond any other fish & chip shops.
You can tell that Apo pays a great attention to detail and takes a lot of pride in his business, he’s also a potato connoisseur!

Excellent service, extremely attentive and friendly staff. The tartar sauce was very good and they were ok about offering more without charge. Portion size was good and there is possibility of changing the chips for a salad with a small charge. Chips were good and fish was crispy.
What an expirence I'm new to the whole fish and chips... But walking in the chef behind the counter was amazing.... A real traditional fish and chips shop. The food is literally perfect. I got the large cod and chips with mushy peas. They also give free home made tartare sauce which was AMAZING! Will be visiting every time in London.
The service is friendly and efficient. And they catered attentively to the 2 children we had with us too. Prices are very reasonable.

Lovely recently refurbished restaurant. Obviously, does take away as well, but very rare these days to find a chippy with actual sit down service.
I get takeaway with my kids, and sometimes order ahead via web. Chips are fabulous, double cooked variety if I am not mistaken (my father had a chippy so I would know!). Fish is cooked spot on, and the batter is just right. You can always gauge a chippy by the quality of their batter.
Service is courteous and prompt. There might be a wait for food to be cooked depending on time of day and customers present. I don't have a problem with this - much better to have freshly prepared food than stuff that's been sitting waiting in the cabinet for hours! I have never felt that the wait was excessive.
All in all, an easy two thumbs up from me and my kids!
Ordered my fish & chips,no acknowledge of any eye contact or smile. No further communication to say how long it will take. Stood outside as it was busy all round. After 45 minutes I went back in and my food was not ready! They seen to concentrate on Uber deliverys rather than customers waiting. Eventually got my f&c and customers saying outside saying exactly that no response. One lad should be dealing with on line orders and the other one in store customers. There's enough staff to be delegate duties. It what it is. (I'm a regular customer ).
So we can come back to the quality of the service especially their manager Apo, later. First the quality, this fish and chips just became number 1 for me. They know exactly what they are doing and then a little more. Buttery Flakes should be their company name. Now their manager Apo is a guy who makes you feel like you know him and that too as a friend. A wonderful experience of food and hospitality.
Really Respectfull workers and a excellent team. Service was really quick and outstanding. As someone who doesn’t usually even eat fish, I enjoyed every bite🫶🏽 would recommend to everyone around❤️
Soo I'm northern and don't rate southern chippies but since this changed hands its good. The man actually makes me batter and the chips are good. It's clean. Staff and polite and friendly

This shop Was taken over not long ago, and the quality has easily jumped to 11 out of 10. The fish quality is outstanding, the attention to detail is second to none , from the service to the oil used to deep fry the chips. If you care about traditional fish and chips , this is the place! Offer a wide selection of fishes , which you can have grilled or battered. This is my new regular. Give it a go! It’s not cheap, nor expensive but you pay for quality. If you want cheap fish and chips, go to your local fried chicken shop.
Just enjoyed another fantastic meal here with my Dad. Chips were perfectly crisp and the cod in batter couldn’t have been better. Staff are super friendly too. Ps tartar sauce is amazing.
Nice place and tasty chips. Make sure you have at least 10 mins to spare as fish is cooked to order.
