Absolutely 5 star. Some of the best, well presented food I have eaten for a long time. I found this little gem on a business trip, and would probably make the 2 hour journey from Kent to return to this beautiful gastro pub.

I went two Wednesdays running with different friends. We had an amazing Christmas meal... Although the sundae was unbelievably sweet and needs tweaking a bit. But rest was beautiful. Service was excellent, really lovely friendly staff. Will absolutely be going again. 100% recommend everyone should go.

Why do we go out to eat? We want great food, beautifully prepared, properly presented and cooked to perfection, served by delightful staff in welcoming surroundings and at the right price. If like me that's what you want, then go to the Plough and you get it all there in abundance, I am never disappointed, every time I go! Simply one of the best! TC

Eight of us have been for lunch today. Having eaten here several times we were expecting an excellent lunch. Oh boy, we were not disappointed! Compliments to the chef, food awesome. Without fault and by far the best we have had in this area (we are foodies). The staff are brilliant. Attentive and accommodating, but not pushy or invasive. We did not realise they closed for a short time in the afternoon (so sorry everyone) but there was no indication we needed to leave. They continued to serve us drinks and made us so welcome. They have made my friends Birthday lunch wonderful! We will be back very soon! Looking forward to having a Sunday Lunch here soon as friends rave about that too. Thank you to all at the Plough!

My friend and I had an amazing afternoon tea at The Plough yesterday. A great choice of both sweet and savouries. I was even given my own plate of vegetarian rolls. We couldn't eat it all but was kindly offered a "doggy" bag or I my case a "son and hubby" bag which I did. At £25 for two it was excellent value. Thank you.

I held my wedding reception here and they helped us have the most special day. Graham the head chef was really good in the lead up. He created us a menu that we could chose from and catered for various allergies. Near enough everyone of my guests came up to me on the night and commented on how amazing the food was, some even saying it was the best food they had ever had. But Louise and the team behind the bar are also incredible. Their service is amazing. They are really friendly. I have eaten in this pub a few times before and I highly recommend it. The best food and the best service.

What a great pub restaurant. We went for Sunday lunch and were absolutely delighted with all 3 courses - 6 different dishes between the 2 of us. The menu was diverse and interesting and the flavours fantastic. The pub itself was really lovely and the staff very friendly and welcoming. A top flight venue in a very pretty village with excellent food and sensible prices.

Big, big food! Well cooked and interesting. Lots of fish and meat dishes and a few veggie dishes too - though not a massive choice. Slightly put off by the very wordy menu as i dont have much patience for reading at the moment but once the food came I could see the character of the menu writer in the food and all made sense. Everything was delicious and the dessert menu was fab - we weren't going to order but couldn't resist. The burgers were massive and enjoyed by all. I had tandoori duck and this was cooked beautifully. Lovely warm, good humoured service. Staff didn't seem harassed despite having a very large party of ladies in the bar and a busy lunch service. We did wait a while to order desserts and pay but this is fairly usual! Food came in a timely fashion (not too quick - so nice and fresh) We will be back! My only very slight comment would be that the bakewell tart was a little lacking in almond flavour for my taste, though my partner also had it and really enjoyed it!

Gorgeous pub venue, very friendly service and superb menu. We had beef & venison and the sea bass, both were yummy, as was the taco starter.

Had a good pit stop here at the weekend.. good coffee and great food. We planned our walk around a stop at The Plough lol Good outside seating. Free parking and a lovely view of the small river that is across the main village road... No pavements, so to see the water and ducks cross with care. Small road though. Lovely village.

What a lovely quaint place to be! Loved the decor, the friendliness of the staff and the food! We were there for a big birthday celebration. The table was ready when we arrived and even though we didn't organise the party, they knew all about it and were prepared for our visit. The food was amazing. Forgot to take pictures of most of it but got the lamb roast and the bowl.of veggies they bring out to share. So much choice which, I personally loved. The service was great and we were given extra yorkies and gravy on demand. There is a lovely little play area outside for the kids and there is also free parking which is always a plus! Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back! 😊

Beautiful pub and incredible food! The picture is of the 'pit master' burger, you better come hungry because it's a beast. My friend had the sticky ribs, her words were, "these are the best ribs I've ever tasted". Pros: Friendly staff, quality food & the Guinness spot on. Cons: Honestly, I can't fault it. Looking forward to trying more of the menu in the near future!

Our favourite place to come for food, this food is Michelin star level but without the price tag- absolutely stunning food and service. If I could say something it would be please put more cocktails on the menu!

This a great place for a decent lunch (never tried it for dinner). Not too far away from M4J14 but also well into the coutryside. Strong menu, good range of drinks incl proper beer and alco-free for drivers, friendly yet efficient service. Worth booking on obviously busy days. Plenty of room inside and out, and dog friendly.

Went for a company Xmas Dinner, so set menu. However food cooked exceptionally and well presented. Staff helpful and friendly. Normal menu seems to have a good choice. Worth a second visit post Xmas to sample normal menu.

The beer is great if you like real ales with an excellent gin or whiskey menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I ordered the muscles which were huge and tasted great. The chips were also homemade wh8ch is rare these days. I would definitely recommend. There was also a lovely roaring fire.
