Lovely surprise each time we eat out here. Their egg benedict with salmon is amazing. The staff are very kind and young and friendly. We keep coming back week by week.

Great experience at an new cafe Sugar Lump Eastbourne
Newly opened on corner opposite the Hughes. With a very inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, with a great clean area and rustic decoration.
Good selection of hot drinks, smoothies, and soft drinks. Healthy food, my breakfast had no grease and was not swimming in oil..
Will definitely be back. Would recommend.
The best chocolate cake I've ever had, baked in-house.
I just moved nearby and I can't believe my luck being near such a lovely cafe. The owners and staff are friendly and warm, the coffee is excellent and the cakes are to die for. *Upfate: if you want something savoury the Eggs Benedict are fantastic.
A fantastic place to have breakfast. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who quickly put 2 tables together to accomodate us. With 6 of us we all wanted different things from a full breakfast to a scrumptious poached egg, bacon, avocado on toast breakfast. Lovely herbal tea too. Thoroughly enjoyed it here in the bright and airy setting.
Very good selection of healthy food hot and cold.Superb homemade cakes and scones and lovely smoothies
and frozen berry and fruit drinks. Also gluten free options. We go in as often as possible since this cafe opened under new ownership a few months ago.Carlos and his family and staff are so welcoming and take a real interest in their customers. The place is spotless and has a great location for shops and the seafront, buses etc.Our favourite place in Eastbourne and good value and variety.
Stayed at the Premier Inn in Eastbourne town centre for the weekend and this great café was just across the road. The young Polish guy who served us was so lovely and welcoming. The food was also eggcellent! I had the eggs benedict with avocado and bacon and my hubby had the full English. Both were delicious and were washed down with yummy chai lattes. We'll definitely visit again the next time we are in town and I hope they maintain their standards.
Best cup of coffee in town, highly recommended place to go and very friendly staff. Best wishes to the young lady with the bump for December(one of the nicest people I've ever met) Apologies for not knowing her name.

AKA latte not too hot and no biscuit required!
Hi,just wanted to say how sad it was today when I found out you had closed(due to the ongoing situation we find ourselves in) I have not visited Eastbourne since March this year, so very disappointed when I turned up for a coffee to one of my favourite coffee places in Eastbourne. I do hope this is only temporary and hope to see the place open again very soon. All the very best to the staff at this difficult time(posted on 07th October 2020)
Nice tea and cakes, not too expensive; friendly staff, attentive but not intrusive. Crucially, happy to top up a pot of tea with extra hot water, and generous with the jam to go with the excellent scones. Almost docked a star for some rather rubbishy background music, but hey, you can't have everything.
Went for breakfast, I had poached eggs on ham with avocado and hollandaise sauce, wow, it was soo tasty. My husband had the English breakfast which he said was very good - excellent quality ingredients. Service was good and very helpful.
I ordered online a Full brunch breakfast with toast and butter, a Panini with Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar and a Panini Tuna Cheese with Salad and dressing. The packaging that it came in was well laid out which included Napkins, Plastic knife and fork, ketchup and brown sauce condiments. Food was not piping hot but enough not to worry about and was impressively fresh and a sufficient amount. I would recommend buying here and i will again in the future for frst impressions i was suprised but very pleased. 😀👍
