A lovely little cafe in the park with a view of a large open green. Behind the cafe is a maze of paths to wander with a small pond and if you are lucky you might spot an albino squirrel.
The cafe has seating for about 15 or so inside but plenty outside if the weather is nice.
Coffee is a really goo

After a few years of hard graft, I believe the owners have made this lovely cafe into a more active hub for Gildridge park.

Lovely Cafe in Gildredge park. We had yummy jacket potatoe, panini and cake. Nice place to have coffee. There is playground for kids next to the cafe so it is ideal for families.

I love Gingerbread Café. The staff are lovely and chatty. They will bring your drinks and food out to you and are always up for a chat. The food is homemade and delicious. I recommend the paninis and sandwiches (both with side salad). The coffee is excellent too. And the cakes. The best cafe in Gild
The owners have done great things with this cafe in the park. Friendly staff and a good menu at reasonable prices, early morning dog walkers frequent it and it is popular with families but not over run with children,even though the swings are nearby ,parents taking refuge !! A great local resource.
I had a lovely walk around Gildredge Park and stopped for a coffee and cake at this small cafe, a friendly and great place to meet nice people for a chat.
