Oh my l found a true retro cafe: that serves proper food! Staff are friendly, you can see food on display and choose item and filter coffee! I am coming back!

The food was very well cooked and piping hot, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the steak and kidney pie with gravy and veg. The portions were really big, we even asked for extra gravy and they obliged by letting us have a nearly full gravy boat, with no extra charge. Our meal only cost £21 which included tea for two as well.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the Beacon shopping centre.
Absolutely love coming here on a visit to eastbourne, always lots of fresh home cooked food and lots of yummy puddings. On a wet cold day the cottage pie it's a highlight on a visit so nice, great prices and the staff are friendly and very helpful

This Restaurant has some really lovely looking food, the range of hot meals, sandwiches & fresh cakes, plus of course, hot & cold beverages, seating inside upstairs & downstairs, plus outside in the shopping centre.
It does get very busy at times with large queues, but I would certainly recommend it as I don't eat cakes very often, so this was well worth the wait, I also found the staff to be friendly.

One of those places thats always been there! No frills. Decent food. Good cup of coffee when it's hot. Friendly staff. A favourite with the older population. Big seating area so always somewhere to sit. Very reasonable prices but as I said no frills.
Really good food and the made to order sandwiches are lovely with substantial fillings.

Good value cafe offering a reasonable selection of drinks and food including breakfasts, jacket spuds, panning, cakes and scones etc. A pleasant change from the chain coffee houses.
