Great value for money buffet. Tasty French bistro-style slow-cooked casseroles from which you help yourself. It's cooked round the corner at the fancy sister restaurant, but a lot cheaper here. There's a small range of starters too, and ice cream for dessert, all for an all-you-can-eat set price. Quirky and fun. Perhaps a bit hard to find on a scruffy side road off Seaside, but worth seeking out.

Very original and querky! Great value. Wine on the expensive side at 20 pound a bottle.

I have no beef with this hidden-away gem tucked away in North Street, Eastbourne. Au contraire! That's exactly what I DID have ...delicious Beef bourguignon, the perfect accompaniment to a chilly English evening. This, after a generous all-you-can-eat range of starters, hot and cold, and a glass of the House red. I have lived in Eastbourne for four years, unaware of this excellent eaterie. Recently recommended by a friend, Monsieur Roland, I have to say, merci mon Ami!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. A very different experience to most other restaurant experiences but all the better for it. A few simple but very fresh and tasty buffet style starters. Help yourself and eat as much starter as you want. A main course from a short but pretty authentic French menu, something like 10 dishes to choose from. Followed by help yourself home made ice cream and/or cheese and biscuits. The decor is very simple and rustic feeling but comfortable. The service friendly. The food simple but delicious. I had a fish stew for a main course which was very flavoursome. Drinks are half price on Thursdays. So for two of us, three good courses plus a bottle of wine cost £30. I have rated this place 5 stars because the food was very good, very plentiful and amazing value. It won't be to everyone's taste, particularly if they are looking for something modern or highly polished. The location is a bit 'back street' but somehow seems to work. If you want to re-live that holiday memory of that tiny simple little cafe you stumbled across in France give it a go. I thought it was great and will be going back.

As a French man, I would consider this to be the best french comfort food restaurant outside France. Great to see attentive french staff in a French restaurant in the UK. Highly recommended.

I really can't believe this place doesn't get more trade. 10 quid for all you can eat 3 courses? Excellent value. We went 6pm on a Friday and the 10 of us had the place to ourselves. Excellent food, good drinks prices- sorry Eastbourne I love you dearly but have a look at this and see what you're missing!

Had a great evening. Loved the buffet for started , cheese and desserts. Each course was very tasty. A ridiculous price for the quality of the food. French food as at home in France. Will go again.

French buffet. Restaurant is decorated to represent a barn complete with fibreglass cows and wooden crates with coffee sack seat cushions. Food is rustic French. Ham hock and lentils; ratatouille; fish in white wine sauce; cheese and variety of deserts. Very good value for money.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Really good French country cooking at a very low price because its all from a buffet. That caused me to doubt beforehand, but all the dishes, ranging from cassoulet through chicken casserole, lentil stew, a fish dish, ratatouille and even confit of duck (and more, which I cant remember) were all very good

1st visit and thought it was a great place. Has a very homely atmosphere and the food a touch of home cooked about it. Was delicious and great value for money. Looking forward to going again.

Incredible value - about half the price of a London restaurant. Small intimate restaurant. Nice menu. Good cote du rhone at £20. Highly recommend

Favourite restaurant in Eastbourne. We couldn't go to France this year but it came to us. Traditional, rustic French food, just what we would choose in France

We had cassoulet and beouf bourguignon to take away and it was delicious. Good portions and the tastiest food. Making lockdown enjoyable! No doubt we will return.

A French, all you can eat, buffet restaurant. Limited menu, which I believe changes regularly, but lovely food at a very reasonable price. Decorated like a barn, this is a great place for a relaxed informal meal.
