I recently visited this charming tea room in Eastbourne and was absolutely delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor was elegant and tasteful, with beautiful vintage touches that added to the overall charm of the space.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel right at home. I ordered a pot of tea and was impressed by the wide selection of high-quality teas on offer. The tea was served in a beautiful teapot with a matching cup and saucer, and it tasted absolutely divine.
The food was also exceptional, with a variety of delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes on offer. Everything was freshly made and beautifully presented, and the flavors were simply exquisite.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tea room to anyone looking for a delightful and memorable experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the food and tea are simply outstanding. Amazing place, lovely atmosphere and delicious scones. Be immerse with Charles Dickens memorabilia while having delicious food. Reasonably priced menu. A wonderful family run tea room.
Amazing place, cute and vintage little cafe with amazing food. Me and a friend had an afternoon tea there and was delicious and the people there were very friendly. I felt like home.

There’s nothing quite like a proper English Cream Tea! And I had a lovely one yesterday at Dickens Tea Cottage comprising a generously filled fresh sandwich (I had tuna & sweetcorn) on good quality bread, a large warm fresh fruit scone with individual pot of strawberry jam & clotted cream, a good piece of homemade shortbread, a large slice of the freshest, lightest most delicious homemade coffee cake and an individual pot of tea that made three cups. Entering Dickens Tea cottage is like stepping back in time - in a good way. As soon as you enter, the hustle and bustle of everyday life recedes a little and you immediately start to unwind. There are curios everywhere you look. The walls are festooned with pictures and photos and there is an abundance of books available for reading. The service is wonderful. All of the staff are polite and friendly and cannot do enough for you. All food is homemade, fresh, delicious and very good value. Dickens Tea Cottage is a hidden gem that I am absolutely delighted to have found. I’m already looking forward to returning next time I’m down in Eastbourne! :)

Small, cosy and very interesting. Absolutely full of Dickens-belia a made up word! Fascinating to look around the walls. Refreshments were lovely and quite reasonably priced. Toilet is accessable via steep, narrow stairs which may be challenging for some. Cash only payment.
We go here for a great cup of tea and a choice of homemade cakes and a fantastic apple crumble with ice cream.

We came to this tea room as a group of 11 as part of our mini weekend away . Owners were so helpful over the phone before we arrived this was already a positive start . From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed as we was early and what a beautiful little tea room with amazing interior. Service was not at fault at all and food was amazing as standards go by . My friends and family had a lovely time from start to finish and we will definitely be retuning to this amazing little treasure in Eastbourne . Thankyou Dickens tea cottage x
So love this place. One of my favourite cafe’s in town. It feels like you’re in an old Britain. Very quaint interior. Staff are also very friendly.

Dickens Tea Cottage is a wonderful experience. The walls are full of interesting items. Lovely staff, very helpful. The menu is full of delightful meals. I had the omelette with salad and chips. It was excellent and very tasty. Wonderful puds. Good old fashioned service at it's best. 10 out of 10 guys for so many reasons.

Lovely quaint T rooms..amazing decor. Food was excellent..cakes were amazing. Had warmed ginger cake..Best ever. Staff were so friendly and attentive..will be back.🍰🍰
Best cafe in Eastbourne! I regularly visit for cream teas, cakes, breakfasts and their fabulous roast dinners on a Sunday. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.
What an absolute delight ! A wonderful greeting on my entrance to to the tea room plus the most wonderful roast dinner I've had in ages. Pleàse visit the. Dickens tea room for it's charm and wonderful personal service. It takes you back in time to when people mattered.

Really lovely place! Wonderful atmosphere and felt like stepping back in time. The service was very friendly and and welcoming and the scones and tea were fantastic!
We also had a ham and cheese toastie which was good but not the best we've had! The scones stole the show for us! Well worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne and a lovely spot for a break.
