Been here several times now and food is always great. Huge portions and tastes like good pub grub should. The Xmas decorations look stunning. If you want good honest pub food you can't go wrong, large menu so something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.
After hearing about their Christmas decorations we had to go and take a peek. Wow! Amazing looked fab and very festive.
We had our Christmas do last night and although a tad earlier then normal the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating whilst booking, very quick at getting us all the information and menu’s. On the night it was a buzzing atmosphere in the pub, warm and clean. I didn’t realise how big the pub is. Again the staff were lovely and the food was great. We all had a fantastic evening and will definitely be going back.

We are staying just around the corner from the Marine, so pleased we found this place... The food is homemade with fresh veg etc etc, absolutely stunning... The staff are very friendly wish more pubs were like this..Haven't come across a pub that serves homemade food for a very long time...I would give the Marine 10 out of 10...Thank you for the fabulous food and friendly banter....👍

As always the staff and the food at the Marine are Excellent. They always have a smile for you ( and in this day and age you don’t always see that). I would highly recommend it.. and remember the servings of food are big.

Wow- well after reading reviews and being in the area we thought we'd try it out- like folks have said don't be put off by the exterior- it doesn't look like much more than a pub but the food and the staff were amazing, huge portions lots of choice not overpriced and delicious I'd highly recommend it and suggest booking as clearly being so popular they were having to turn people away!
If we have visitors we always come here, or for any other family events! The food is gorgeous and you get lovely big portions! Staff are friendly and efficient and it’s just off the seafront which makes it even more ideal!!! Christmas time is amazing here, they decorate the whole place with lights, it looks brilliant! Highly recommended by myself and everyone I have ever taken here !
As a lady by herself looking for somewhere to eat and enjoy a glass of wine or two.. the staff here ( and the locals) have made me feel so very welcome. The food on both nights was spot on! As was the service.. Couldn't fault it... actually want to find a reason to come back.. lovely traditional cosy warm beautiful pub .. x

fantastic pub. great food. great prices. highly recommend. Rack of ribs is amazing. Stilton Garlic Bread is a meal in itself.. Start Main and drinks , around £25
This was a gem of a find for us as we were having a night away, we only had to walk less than 5 mins, the pub is lovely and the food was plentiful, the fish tasted so fresh and cooked to perfection, the side salad was the best I ever had infact my hubby was jealous he didn't order one himself, the staff were very kind and courteous, I saw other people's meals and they were huge too, our 2 dinners and 2 Shandy's come to £27, we will be back on our next visit.

Great food, friendly service, and warm atmosphere
Absolutely love this pub. If it’s a quite beer after work, a few pre drinks before a night out or a lovely meal this pub has it all.
I love all the staff here they really take the time to get to know you and always up for a chat. I love this pub it’s definitely worth coming here. The food is amazing or if you want a light snack then you’ve got to try the cheese and biscuits!
Great selection of food and drinks and even on a really busy night they get the food and drink out really quick.
If you haven’t seen the Christmas decorations during festive time then it’s worth coming in just to see that. Highly recommend I’ll say it again this is the best pub in town

My first visit yesterday, everything was fantastic. Very warm welcome by the staff, lovely atmosphere and food was classic grub, cooken really well. Not typical greasy pub food, I normally only eat about 3 chips but ate the lot on my plate. Crispy outside, light fluffy inside, a real proper chip.
Staff we great at accommodating allergy needs. Double checking ingredients for us. All done with a smile, not the normal rolling of eyes.
It will become our regular haunt 😊
Lovely friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food was excellent. They didn't mind us sharing a cheese board for dessert. Well priced for excellent value.

Well, what a gem of a pub just off the sea front. We were recommended the Marine by our guest house and we were not disappointed. Very reasonable prices, well cooked food and huge portions. Add to this pleasant, attentive staff and a homely setting and you have it all. We actually returned another night as we decided nothing would beat this pub.
