We came to the Green Almond for our anniversary. It was absolutely incredible. We are both vegan and they veganized the options for us. The food was amazing. It must be the best dining experience I have had to date as a vegan. It completely surpassed the well known vegetarian eateries in Brighton. I thought it was magnificent. We also had a beautiful vegan, fair trade, organic red wine with our meal, which was also delightful. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

This is our favourite vegetarian restaurant by a mile. The food is delicious and we can honestly say that we’ve never had a bad meal. Everything is prepared to perfection with a real passion for the food. Carmen, Andrew and the staff are always attentive and delightful. The weekend evenings sittings are a real special treat.....but book early to avoid disappointment as it’s always busy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this fabulous eatery. X

Just come back from our first visit, and wow! One of the best meals we have eaten out ever! Wonderful intimate restaurant friendly staff and incredible food. I think my wife used the word amazing 15 times! Would definitely recommend it to anyone, meat eaters or vegetarians/ vegans alike. We will be back with friends.

Had an amazing meal last night with a friend, was by far the the nicest meal I've eaten in a long time. There was nothing I could fault, the food was clearly cooked with passion by a very talented chef! Relaxed atmosphere, nice music, lovely decor. It was a pure joy to know that everything on the menu was suitable to eat rather than having to stick with the one 'veggie option' on the menu. Cannot wait to visit again. Thank you for a fab evening. I will definitely be recommending and might try the lunch option soon too.

My friend who's vegan took me here for a pre birthday lunch and although I eat meat, I really enjoyed the food and opened my eyes to vegetarian/vegan dishes! Plenty to choose from, especially the delicious hot stroganoff and I always love hummus and bread! Reasonably priced and great service too! I'd recommend this place to anybody

Met up with an omni friend who I hadn’t seen in ten years. Wanted to go somewhere special and The Green Almond surpassed our expectations. Very reasonably priced (£60 for 2, 3 courses and a bottle of prosecco) and the food was incredible. We hugged the chef and the very lovely Carmen as we left- had a beautiful night! Thank you! No surprise that it is the BEST restaurant in town, according to trip advisor reviews... Menu- (I had all the vegan options) Spiced pear, Dolcelatte cheese and pomegranate seeds. Thai cucumber and bean salad with a roasted peanut-citrus dressing and a crisp rice vermicelli. (vn) ~ Tamarind infused halloumi with lemon and herb quinoa. Griddled courgettes and roasted cherry tomatoes. Artichoke and pine nut risotto balls. Fennel and leek bean mash, crispy kale and spring onion crème fraîche (vn) ~ Salted caramel chocolate slice with an oat and date base and coconut cream (vn) Apple and maple syrup tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream. I’d definitely make an effort to return to Eastbourne just to eat there again.

Our first visit to the Green Almond last Friday was a big surprise. We went with two friends who are regular visitors to the restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food & didn't miss having meat at all. My biryani was delicious & the meringue desert was to die for. The place is small & very welcoming. The hosts (fellow ex-Croydonians) were very pleasant. We will definitely return!

Delicious three course dinner with friends for just £20 each per head. The staff are attentive and there's a lovely atmosphere in this small restaurant. There are two choices for each course and I believe it changes monthly. I had mushroom and tarragon soup, cauliflower and lentil curry and the utterly gorgeous apple and pear crumble with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream. Great value, highly recommended.

Took my granddaughter here for lunch as a belated birthday treat for me. The food was delicious - and the pancake dessert was scrummy. Totally recommended for veggies and meat eaters!

One of the best pure veg restaurants in Eastbourne. I have visited this place before 2months for lunch. Located on back side of Grand hotel and pretty small place . They maximum have 5 have tables. So table reservation recommend. They serve 2 types of plates small plate is for £6 and other is £8. They have very unique concept of filling if your plate in one go . All you need to take in one time only :-) their opening timings are always different so make sure you check tha availability before you go.

My wife and I are absolutely *OBSESSED* with this beauty of a restaurant. We've been multiple times and have even been with our little fur boy Milo (Who loved his Dogs Dinner). We love it so much we even chose The Good Grub to celebrate our 9th anniversary together. The staff are always incredible and full of smiles. We've always felt very welcomed and love to see everyone each time we're in. We'll be regular customers for as long as The Good Grub exists!

Today I visited The Good Grub with my wife and 2-year-old. We enjoyed The Green Bros. and were looking forward to seeing what changes there have been under the new owner. As it was the Eastbourne Airshow we booked in advance for lunch and I am pleased we did. People had to be turned away. According to the owner getting a table for lunch would not normally be a problem, more so if you're willing to eat outside, although I would still book just to be sure, especially if it is for dinner. The Good Grub has a lovely, relaxed interior with lots to look at without appearing cluttered. There is a good choice of drinks, including alcoholic. We opted for a couple of apple juices and a pineapple juice. The lunch menu is not vast but does have options to keep most people happy. The dinner menu is more extensive and you can always fill out your meal with the yummy sides. For our lunch my wife went for the steak toastie, I had the falafel wrap and my son had falafel and chips. We all enjoyed our meals with the seasoned fries and beetroot hummus being the highlights. Food and drink was brought to the table in good time and the owner made sure we were happy with everything throughout our time. Please note, the toilet is down some tight, twisting stairs, so certainly not wheelchair friendly. Customers are encouraged to leave empowering messages on the wall, which is a unique idea and I enjoyed reading the various quotes. The hand dryer wasn't working but paper towels were provided. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised. Three tasty meals and drinks for less than £30 - bargain! Even before we had left my wife and I were already discussing a return visit for dinner. Visit The Good Grub!

Wonderful vegan restaurant just off the seafront. Great vibe created by the lovely owner and her team! The food is really tasty and I’m working my way through the menu. The portions are big so you will not leave hungry. My favourite is the roast, particularly the cauliflower - perfection! Also the Study & Socialise on Wednesday is a great opp for home workers to get out the house for a change of scenery and to grab nice coffee and lunch while working.

Easy booking, arrived to a nice atmosphere, good seating and happy friendly service, we had the fantastic bruschetta to start, vegan steak and fries for main and sticky toffee pudding to finish up, some rather nice red wine throughout all for a good reasonable price, most places we go out to eat feel like a functional, non event, but this stood way above anywhere else we have been, thoroughly enjoy the evening out, and it's all vegan too. Well be back for sure.

Amazing experience with incredible food and wonderfully helpful staff. So happy to have a local plant-based food place. Can't wait to visit again and I'd recommend to everyone... you'll struggle not to walk out vegan!
