We came across this beautiful pub on a walk from the hop farm. Forgive me, for not remembering names, this place, the people that work here, provide a fantastic family atmosphere and service beyond ,and the most fabulous selection of food with excellent taste. Total value for money. We will most de
Great little pub by the river. We stopped by to get away from traffic and hoped to get food (a Thurs evening) but as with many places now no food during the week sadly. Enjoyed a couple of our favourite Harvey’s Best beers sitting outside and there was a nice vibe and fairly busy, haven’t been for a
A lovely country pub. Low beamed ceilings and an outside area to sit and have a drink. If you are going to eat there you must book first as it is very small. The menu is limited but what they do offer is well cooked. I had battered hake chios and peas. The batter was light and not grass and the chi
I don't get to this pub often enough, but having been a marshal at Tonbridge parkrun in the morning I decided to swing by as I drove home cross country. A member of staff came to speak to me as I waited for the pub to open, but only to inform me that every table was booked! I went in for a drink at
A pint of prawns and a Cashel Blue please. What a beautiful period pub. Set besides the river way, the Man of Kent looks beautiful. Enter and duck, the low ceilings may be quirky, but they are all character. Something many modern pubs lack.
Staff are salt of the earth and the locals are lovely. The
New to area. Been to this fabulous old pub twice. Sat outside both times in glorious sunshine, enjoying baguettes, chips and drinks. Right next to the River Bourne. Perfect. Dog friendly too 👍
Lovely little pub in rural East Peckham, with the beer garden adjacent directly to a trout stream - even a few ducks can be spotted occasionally! Wonderful view to enjoy while enjoying a crisp pint on a sunny day. Indoors it is a traditionally furnished pub with low beams, so if you’re a tall fella
I fell in love with this place immediately. Being a 6ft 3 specimen (dont know what I'm allowed to call myself anymore), manoeuvring through the bar can be somewhat tricky as the lovely old beams and joists are somewhat low. That's said, it's lovely. Staff were very efficient and very friendly to non
"Watch your head" because looks like it was built for hobbits! Nice building from Tudor period with a lovely ambient and service.
On a hot day a cold drink goes down easier while watching the chubb swim up the river on which the pub sits. Good beers served by friendly staff, we chilled out under the flight path of Spitfires. Lovely.
