Found this lovely pub by accident whilst on a day out. We hadn't booked, but were welcomed by the friendly staff. Excellent menu with a good choice and some local produce too. Very reasonably priced and I believe cooked to order. Lovely atmosphere in beautiful country setting. The food was delicious. Would definitely return there and would recommend it.

Fantastic Sunday lunch here today for 12....spot on...
Returning after 3 and a half years away from Kent we were welcomed back by Monty Anna and team just like coming back home. Fab food and atmosphere as always
A great pub in a tranquil rural location that has a huge beer garden. It serves great beer and the food is good. A perfect example of a Great British country pub.
lovely home cooked food . well worth a visit
Always a warm welcome and the beer is spot on . We have eaten here a few times and the food is amazing.
Nice pub in Kent lovely food good range of beers
And first Sunday of the month vintage car rally
Nice pub in a nice location with a large garden. Garden looking a bit tatty and unloved. Staff friendly.
The food is quite normal pub grub but it was nice, and I think prepared on site (sadly not always the case in many pubs and restaurants these days)
Dropping a star because it felt unnecessarily expensive - £17 for a burger & chips is dear, even in today's inflation steeped environment.
We had previously been to the Bush, Blackbird & Thrush and regretfully didn’t publicly recommend it, though we certainly should have.
We visited on Saturday evening (12th Aug 2023) having made a reservation for a 4 person table, we were fortunate that the occupancy was around half capacity and consequently had no waiting time. We were shown to our table and provided plenty of time to decide on drink and meal choices. The food arrived in good time and was served at the perfect temperature, we had a variety of meals that included meat and fish.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return and offer thanks to our waitress who was very accommodating and friendly, as well as the chef for providing well presented and enjoyable meals.
It should be noted that disable access is ideal and there are flush thresholds throughout.
I went there with my friend yesterday when staffs just opened the door for business at 12:00pm. As it was cold and windy, one of the staff immediately lighted up the wood burning stove and we felt warm instantly. The food was lovely although I found the price of starters and desserts a little bit pricey, but the main courses not. The staffs were very friendly and the Christmas songs and decorations are on, it looks great inside. The car park is big and easy to park, restroom is clean. It is a very nice pub at East Peckham. Will go again with family in the future😀😀According to the staffs, the starters, maybe desserts often change weekly!
We found this pub on Brit Stops and stayed overnight with our campervan in the backyard. The hard working owners are super friendly and made us feel very welcome. They offered us a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, although the pub was still closed. :) Furthermore, the setting is lovely and there is a nice choice of beers and food. Highly recommended!
Lovely country pub with pleasant outside seating areas and overall decor. Very welcoming and friendly staff, as well as simple but delicious food. I recommend the sausage and onion ciabatta! Lovely. Chips are amazing, too. Only loses a star as the drinks prices are very high, but that’s Tory Brexit Britain for you. Will come again, great pub!
A fabulous find. The people are very friendly and welcoming, the food is out of this world and I have added one more place to a very small list of superb pubs. We are definately coming again.
This pub has undergone multiple changes in recent years, pre COVID it had a long term manager/owner in place then a shift in the team running it and it suffered as a result. Now with the person in charge making the short jump from the North Pole (East Malling) it is happily and rapidly regaining much of its previous appeal. A welcome shift indeed, long may it last. This pub has atmosphere and charm and plenty of parking now with good food, plenty of parking and friendly staff. I have visited it over many years and am pleased to say that will continue.
lovely sunday roast, good portions and welcoming staff, will definitely come back!
Decided to succumb to a last minute Sunday Roast craving and fortunately Bush, Blackbird & Thrush had reservations available!
Lovely quaint gastropub, always with really pleasant amicable service.
We’ve been here once before we were really impressed with the range of cocktails using our favourite Copper Rivet Distillery spirits so we were a tad disappointed that these are not available anymore. Only frozen cocktails available at the moment which I tried but was not keen on.
However, the food is still as incredible as ever! They kindly catered to my peculiar request of the Veggie Roast with a side of pork 😆 and it was amazing - cleaned up the plate!
There was a lot of buzz there as they had a dance group practising outside which was rather unique to watch.
This was the first time that I have come here. I found out that the current owner is moving on and new management would be taking over. Still it is a lovely venue, garden is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. The drinks, well a good selection and the lager I had was lovely and cold. Unfortunately there were only a few people present so there was a lack of atmosphere, which is a shame as it's a nice place to enjoy a drink and food. We look forward to coming here again and see what the new management have to offer. We will be back.
