Lunch on Thursday with two friends. Excellent. Not been before but had recommended to dear friends who stayed in September and they enjoyed. One chap doing all the service for so many tables and was brilliant. Highly recommend. Definitely visiting again 🙂
We went for dinner and it was brilliant. Amelia was a fabulous waitress, really knows her stuff, great at the upsells too! Dog friendly. Would highly recommend. I had the beef brisket pie which appeared small however it was so packed with filling I was beyond full and it tasted gorgeous. If we loved
Had a few not so great experiences here and were not going to go back but I’m glad we decided to try it again. Our last two trips have been great. The food is really good and staff friendly and helpful. There are nice places to sit here, either in the pub, the garden or the patio out the front. Good
Very nice food, however service was slow, I know good food takes time but we waited over an hour for our food, it wasn’t overly busy, but only two in the kitchen apparently. Waitress didn’t know the menu very well when asked about dishes. Overall nice food, atmosphere and lovely surroundings.
Fantastic evening with delicious food and personable service. Enjoyed a 3 course meal with my partner, beautiful surroundings and excellent food. The duck breast and slow braised beef pie were not only delicious but incredibly reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
Amazing food. Chris was awesome and made the best cocktails. Cereal killer is now a new favourite! Thank you for making my birthday awesome đŸ€˜
Amazing gastropub, with a delicious variety of food and beers on tap. We had dinner, breakfast and a Sunday roast over the weekend, and they all exceeded expectations. The staff is lovely and welcoming. The design is gorgeous. They also have the loveliest view our back. We spent 2 nights in the cu
A really lovely place to stay and dine. I enjoyed a peaceful room, nicely furnished and very clean. Lovely bathroom and very professional staff in the bar. Great meal, the fish and chips were excellent. Overall a lovely stay.
Stopped off for a quick snack while traveling home. The area is picturesque, the service was speedy and the food was delicious. I'd definitely recommend checking it out and having a bite to eat if in the area.
Sunday roast was absolutely beautiful here - 9.5/10 recommend! Only gripe is that the stuffing contains pork and there’s no other option - e.g sage & onion. Would have made it 10/10 for us. Didn’t get a picture but the banana CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e was stunning too!
What a wonderful place to stay and eat! This is our second time at the Red Lion and it did not disappoint. The room was lovely, the food was delicious and the staff were great. We knew we had to be out by 6am the following morning so one of the members of staff kindly supplied us with 'to go' breakf
We had dinner here a few months ago and the food and service was exceptional, to the point that we were slightly afraid to return, and have the memory ruined
We went back this evening, and both the food and the service were exceptional once again. Can’t recommend the Red Lion enough.
Great village hotel and pub. We normally go for the breakfast or Sunday roast, we have always had a positive experience here, food, drink and staff are great đŸ‘đŸ»
