Rocca is a Turkish restaurant that delivers outstanding dishes.
The staff were friendly and very attentive and an asset to the restaurant.
I tried the Chicken Iskender, which was succulent and beautifully presented. My father had the lamb shank, and it was incredibly tender. We were both highly impressed with the flavors and quality of the food. A must-visit for Turkish cuisine enthusiasts.
Can’t fault the place.
Food was served piping hot (this is rare for anywhere!) flavours were incredible.
Staff are very accommodating, attentive, and welcoming.
The interior really surprised us, it’s an old building but it’s much bigger than expected and is well kept.
Will recommend to everyone and will be going again!
Wow!
What an experience, I wish I had known about this place sooner.
Literally cannot fault it, the staff were all amazing, the food was beautiful and so full of flavour.
Honestly, if you haven't been yet, you are REALLY missing out.
Well done and thank you to everyone that was working Thursday 28/09/23
My friend wanted me to experience the tasty delights of Rocca Mediterranean, as she had been before. And what can I say - Rocca, rocked!
From the moment I walked through the door, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The food options available on the menu were amazing - so much choice - and it all tasted amazing!
We selected the houmous and tzakiki with flatbread and the roasted peppers with feta for starters. Delicious, especially with the complimentary bowl of olives! For mains, we both had chicken shish with chips. The meat was tender, juicy, and so tasty! I always have room for dessert, and after seeing the menu, I knew straight away I would have tirimasu, and I was not disappointed! So yummy - my taste buds were having a party!!
If you haven't already tried Rocca - don't delay! You won't be disappointed - great food, amazing staff and a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy!
First visit to Rocca on my birthday and it was great. Food delicious, very reasonably priced, ambience very traditional. All staff extremely friendly. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere and superb waiting staff.
Little disappointed with my dish but that was partly due to a misunderstanding. The wife's food was lovely and the portion size was generous.
The only real complaint I had was it was very hot in there. Other diners didn't seem to have an issue with the temperature so maybe it was a personal comfort issue...I do prefer a cooler environment in a restaurant.
Would definitely return
Exceptional!!!
Went here with a few friends for dinner and we were all extremely impressed! Had our table booked for half six and went straight in - the service was exceptional, to the point where numerous waitresses came asking for drinks and starter orders, despite having already ordered - can't complain though!
They brought round a chilli dip, tzatziki, olives and some fresh bread - which was delicious. We weren't even finished with the bread before a new bowl was brought round, which was fantastic!
The portions sizes are absolutely spot on - they want you to eat and eat well! Once the starters were finished the main courses followed shortly afterwards and a large bowl of delicious salad was brought out for everyone to share.
I might add at this point that the breads and salads were all given at no extra cost.
They got exceptionally busy so there was a bit of a lengthy wait for our bill, but when you see everyone running about as they were it's completely forgivable and we would have happily waited longer if it wasn't for the extreme heat! (NB - try and sit by a window or outside if it's summer as it was very, very hot inside as it's an old, small building).
Overall I would highly recommend a visit - we will definitely be going back!!
The best cocktails in East Grinstead by far. Brilliant service and an excellent atmosphere. I cannot comment on the food as we have only had bar nibbles but they were great.
*UPDATE* - The food is also excellent
Rocca was lovely. Beautiful building tastefully renovated. Staff very friendly, professional and helpful.
The menu is fairly firmly Turkish with lots of grilled meats. Generous portions and sensible prices. Falafels were amazing with a bit of crunch and calamari was absolutely on-point.
Another nice touch is that the food is cooked on real coals behind a glass screen so you can see what's going on.
Strongly recommend.
This place is always buzzing and busy. The food is excellent and very good fast friendly service. The cocktails are also really decent.
