The Ship Inn - East Grinstead - Photo album

Before returning home from my visit to friends in East Grinstead, I was taken to the Ship Inn for Sunday lunch. A very nice pub inside and well laid out with a few separate rooms. A big patio and seating out the front with more seating out the back. My friends knew the pub well and said it had been
Delicious food, very friendly staff and a comfortable, cosy atmosphere. We've been a few times for food and have been very happy each time. Especially enjoyed the burger and the fig tart. The Sunday roast is also delicious.
We have been here a many weekends lunches. The food, though not the cheapest, but was very well cooked and well presented. And every Sundays have special menu. A very nice pub inside and outside with a few separate rooms. A big patio and seating out the front with more seating out the back. Staff ve
The manager Clare was amazing. She went out of her way to ensure we had the best day and the best food. She communicated so well with us all the way through the booking process and was on hand on the day to make sure it all ran smoothly. All our guests commented on the look and taste of our buffet f
The Ship Inn is in a great location in East Grinstead. It is a delightful Inn with charm & Character. The Servers are always friendly & efficient.
Had a very early Sunday lunch which was terrific in every respect; service (thank you Tom), food and decor. Can't really comment on the atmosphere, as there were so few other people. We'll definitely be back.
Super cosy pub. Lovely staff. I love what they've done with the interior. Dark wooden features, fireplace 🔥, sofas 🛋️, armchairs 💺, intriguing framed paintings around 🖼️. Basically all round sweet vibes 👌🏽💫 Coming again!
Probably one of the nicest pubs in the town. I have an affinity for the building. My old pal Roysten Connor, and his brother Steve from when I was in junior school, used to live there in the nineteen seventies. His dad Roy ran the place. In more recent times the whole place had a really good refit.
First visit here since the refurbishment. Have to say very impressed. It has become a lovely bar restaurant, with a lovely menu, great service and lively atmosphere. We came here for a 3 course family meal and enjoyed very much.
We had a really nice light lunch of sandwiches here on a miserable day. The staff were helpful and attentive. Really enjoyed the drinks too. Food was very tasty and freshly prepared.
Both waiters were very pleasant. Main courses were good. Eton mess a little bland and lacking in fruit. Air con was turned up too much and it was a bit chilly. Background music at a perfect volume to add ambience but didn't affect our ability to chat.
The burger I had was excellent. My wife had the fish and chips which was huge. She said it was gorgeous. The speed quiz was good fun
Excellent service , food is amazing and the bar staff are among the friendliest Iv ever been served by. Have been here many times now and have never had a bad time, it looks amazing inside and is very clean and tidy. Highly recommend this place for a nice evening meal with the family.
Very nice. Really a lovely pub. Well done out nice staff all very nice- slightly more expensive than the local competition, if more aligned price wise would be a 5*. Very good overall package a lovely place for a drink or two with friends 👍
We had a party of 18 - food and staff were great. Really professional staff and welcoming. Highly recommended. And my dog was made to feel welcome too. Thanks
