Swiss Cottage Tea Room - East Cowes - Photo album

The upstairs wasn't open due to a water leak which is a shame , but the rooms have a lot of interactive stuff in for kids , lots they can feel and touch which is brilliant. Clean and tidy and staff all well informative .
Very nice to look inside. Plenty of history and things to look at and read through. Worth a visit plus its set in some beautiful grounds.
I enjoyed visiting Osborne House and the Swiss Cottage gave me a glimpse of the lives of Queen Victoria's children and family life.
Beautiful place and loved the individual information on each of Queen Victorias children and their time there.

Part of the interesting history of Queen Victoria and Osborne House. A Swiss chalet built for the education & enjoyment of her children by Albert her husband.
Definitely worth a visit. Beautiful grounds and plenty to see
Fascinating place to visit for both adults and kids. The building has been very well preserved and it's great to see how Prince Albert built this cottage to teach his 9 children how to grow their own vegetables, how to cook and entertain. The collections of items that were gifted to the Royal Family
It is a lovely place to visit as part of Osbourne House grounds as a whole. The museum next door is very interesting. Some of the viewing exhibits where out of order but it was still worth a look round as part of the day.
The Swiss house itself is rather small, but has some neat exhibits of the original kitchen and some of the living quarters. The real attraction here is the Museum next to the Swiss House. It holds antiquities, geological samples, and taxidermy spanning from at least 1000 BC to the Victorian Era. You
