Delicious three course meal in a spotlessly clean fresh decor. The pie of the day was excellent although our starters and desserts (courgette fritters with aioli/blackcurrant sorbet) were also very good. There is a wide choice of beer, ale, wine and cocktails. Great service from friendly staff, I would recommend even if just popping in for a drink in the lovely beer garden.

Stayed three nights with a colleague as working near by. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The rooms clean with good interior design and comfortable. The menu was interesting and food very tasty. We felt instantly at home and were looking forward to returning each evening after a hard day's work. We stay in decent hotels every week and this is one of the ones we've enjoyed the most.

We ate here with some friends on a Saturday evening and the service, food and drinks from start to finish was on point at every stage. Very nice setting, décor which is smart but not too formal of fussy but you are aware you are somewhere nice. We don't go our a lot but when we do we choose nice places and this industry has been lacking in my opinion for decades, this is the only place in the area I would actually recommend. They get proper service and the whole team deliver the same level. Exceptional and thank you for such a great evening Team.

We stayed here for a night with our 2 large dogs, one of which is a rescue so a bit reactive and getting used to the world around him. The hotel made us feel really welcome and went the extra mile with accommodating the dogs. There are some excellent dog walks in the immediate vicinity - the rooms have a helpful card that you can take on the walk for directions. The food in the pub was exceptional - we had lunch on arrival, dinner in the evening and breakfast the following morning - it was all amazing - I cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be visiting again

Stayed and ate here with our dog for 2 nights. Firstly the service is second to none - so warm & welcoming. The pub itself is beautiful and quaint, with a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were lovely - huge comfortable beds, nicely decorated and incredibly clean. Food was unbelievable - everything was cooked to perfection and rivalled most high end restaurants in London, but at incredible value (£30 for 3 courses). Also breakfast in the morning was as good, with a great selection of both continental and cooked options. Overall, if you’re looking to stay and/or eat somewhere that’s got incredible service, a warm atmosphere with impeccable food in an area that’s perfect for a weekend away near Chichester, this is the place. We will absolutely be back!

First time here after our friends raved over the food and not disappointed with what I had. The place is out in the stick's but does have a midsize carpark. An extended old pub that has a modern extension out back with the restaurant tables in. Not the cheapest of places my pie 🥧, lovely though it was, was about £18 ! add another two courses X by 8 people and chuck in loads of drinks and you are looking at over £500 ...it was a 50th birthday so I am hanging onto that otherwise I may just weep 😂 Bit short on the pics soz about that!

First visit with a friend. Lovely welcome. Place was quiet but had a lovely feel to it and I can imagine it buzzing at a busier time. Food was excellent. Would definitely come again either for a drink outside or one of their music nights. Recommended. Cheers RBS

Came for lunch. First rate cooking. Home to the best gravy I've ever had (technically more of a jus, but served with the quantity of gravy, which is what you really want tbh). Portions are a little on the small side for the price.

Pretty good food, more like fine dining. Great flavours, really well out together dishes, nicely presented. Pork was a little dry, not juicy but otherwise delicious. Kids food, poor.

I loved this Inn. Claudia and Monty are warm and welcoming and my room was lovely with a bed that I didn’t want to get out of! I was in my own and I will be back with hubby as I want him to enjoy the experience with me! Food was wonderful and the local sparking rose gorgeous!

The best place for food within the immediate and outlying areas of Chichester. Exquisite dishes, flavours and attention to detail. Excellent customer service, good selection of wines, beers and gins etc. Modern immaculate interiors with a sense of rustic charm. Always busy so you must book ahead and the car park quickly fills up.
