I visit the Half Moon on a regular basis as I find it hard to find anywhere as good . The staff are lovely and the food is beautiful . I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone , give it a go , you won't regret it .

Haven't found a better pub to eat in. We have tried a few and some have come close but we always end up back in the Half Moon at Easington Village.
Great food,friendly staff.. would definitely recommend. Give it a try ... you won't be disappointed xx

The best 12oz gammon steak you will ever be served. No other place comes near. I will be back. And if the chef leaves, I will find him and I will kill him.
We were staying at the Durham coastal lodge went out for a male at the half moon it was very busy but still fit us in on a Saturday night our meals was value for money very happy we returned on the Sunday for our lunch definitely recommend it x
The farm house grill was lovely, and only 2 mile away for us, easily the best food within a 8 mile radius
Lovely meal yet again, visit alot for meals and we are never let down food is always lovely, staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help and make your visit fab.

We had homemade Chinese style chicken and mushroom curry with chips/ homemade cheese and tomato quiche with chips and salad. Both meals from the specials board and highly recommended
Waitresses are great, always asking if everything is ok and do we need any sauces etc

I found this establishment just passed the green, so quite easy to find. I was recommended The Half Moon by staff members from Club 3000 Peterlee, I found it to be pleasant,clean, I was asked to find myself a table and I immediately noticed one particular table and chair, situated on the right hand side (looking from the bar) that one chair is placed up against the partition and the other is back to back with another chair from another table, there was no possible way to be seated here, I only mention this because if this place got so busy and that was the only table left I feel that a wait would ensure before eating your lunch/Dinner.
There is through area of seating to the left of the bar, where you can watch TV, the day we were here on Saturday and they had sport showing, I also noted that the Half Moon appears to be a locals bar, as they congregated in the bar area.
Your food order is easy all you do is order at the bar and I found the gentleman to be polite and quick to serve me with drinks and then my meal.
I have to add I feel that 15.00 for a mixed grill is on the expensive side, and I found other menu items to be equally priced, even so! I found the food to be excellent and without complaint, I would re-visit The Half Moon again

Very friendly staff and fresh to order cooked meals, Ordered the chicken Kiev and was informed that it would be around a 30min wait because the Kiev was made fresh.
Fabulous experience. We came across The Half Moon by accident whilst visiting Seaham. But it was so good, we came back the next night.
Lovely pub, great atmosphere and the food was excellent. Great value but no compromise on the quality. Lovely service too. Well done, we'll be back!
