It never fails, the service is second to none. The food every time is freshly made, hot, tasty and plenty of it! I go regularly, and the welcome is terrific each time. I'd recommend The Rhymers to anyone looking for a coffee to a full blown meal. Tons of choices too. A+++

This cafe was absolutely smashing! 2 young girls serving were extremely pleasant and very welcoming to me and my father, food was practically perfect! It's a shame that I'm 300 miles away so my return would be unlikely but I seriously would recommend this cafe to anybody and absolutely everybody! Thank your for the service xx

Been visiting for over 30 years! Always a pleasure, always cooked while you wait, and worth the wait even when really busy. Not your typical roadside fare, but you can use the takeaway menu and eat on the move. Highly recommended...

Always pop in here on a monthly basis after visiting my partners daughters grave in Melrose. We always leave feeling so sad and down but the lovely food and staff always give us our mojo back again for our journey back home to Bo’ness.

Fantastic visit. inside Rhymers Tower there is two floors and they have tables on both. Well laid out and comfortable to sit and have a coffee or a meal they have a complete menu to suit all tastes The food is always fresh and piping hot and a small wait is usual whilst it is prepared. Great staff, owners john and lynda couldn't do enough for you and your made to feel welcome and part of the family x my children had a wonderful time on our visit The homemade cakes look delicious. They also have a stair lift to access toilets and out side area which is just wonder with its on wall and pond with fish. Will definitely recommend and will be returning some time soon x We were able to have a go of the giant knife and forks while there lol

To LSG UK . the person looking for toilets in Earlston. Public toilets are to be found less than 1 minute for Rhymers Cafe in the square, if you google public toilets if gives you directions. Please note they also are not free !! Most people are polite and buy a coffee or cake to go to support small businesses but guess you are not one of these people

We were driving past at 10 this morning on our way home to east lothian after a weekend in Melrose and needed some breakfast. The big lit up open sign caught our eye as we drove by so we turned round and went back. Service was great. Food was delicious. We will be back again. 😚

Very welcoming independent cafe serving a well thought out menu. Eggs Royale and Full Scottish Breakfast arrived in good time and presented beautifully on the plates. Both were full of flavour and the full Scottish in particular was free of grease and the sausages were excellent quality. Eggs were poached to perfection and the hollandaise was so moorish!!! Even the filter coffee was tasty and hot. Hot milk served with it. Perfect breakfast… only slight downside is that the cafe is a little on the chilly side in the mornings. Other than that excellent service and food from highly skilled and friendly owners !!

Went in just after 12noon today and asked for 2 Full Breakfasts, 1 small breakfast, bacon roll and chips. Although they stop breakfasts at 12 normally they still accommodated our order. Have to say it was the beat breakfast we have had in a long time. Very friendly and welcoming staff, would recommend anyone to stop there and try for yourself.

Had lovely lunch last week. Place was very welcoming. Four of us in the party and we all ordered different lunches. They had soya milk for my tea which I was most grateful for. Service good and friendly. Will definitely visit again when in the area x

The stroganoff on a brioche roll was absolutely divine, as a starter. Liver pate was so tasty and a large portion. The chicken strips were tasty.. Well that then prepared us for an amazing experience for our tastebuds of homemade steak pie and 1 friend had lemon and herb chicken. Oh my goodness we had certainly landed in food heaven. The establishment was spotless and the staff were so friendly attentive and made sure our visit was unforgettable. Definitely will return. Many thanks

The bacon roll was great, but it took along time to arrive. The waitress was pleasant but the wait was too long.
