Recommended by the Pine resort holiday park .. lovely meal .. had beer batted fish and sweet potato fries and mushy peas .. & for desert homemade lemon cheesecake.. Amazing . We was recommended to book a table before hand ,which we did as it started to get busy about 7pm .
Fantastic food. Warm and friendly staff. Extremely helpful and attentive. Fully recommended. Mixed grill was to die for. Complements to the chef.
We went here whilst on a little break in wales. All i can say is absolutley fantastic!! We were told there may be a slight delay on food as they were so busy but we were served really quick staff were lovely and the food to die for would actually make the drive back from wirral just for the steak and ale pie.......lovely thank you xxxx
Just popped in for Skillet Wednesday and the food was amazing, such a good deal and swapped the sauce to a Stilton one, which wasn’t on the menu but accommodated nonetheless. Also had camabert to start which was divine.
Absolutely amazing food. We would definitely come back. Pay your chef as much as he/she wants...they deserve it!
service was friendly although busy we didnt have to wait long for meal which lovely would recommend to anyone
Amazing!!! Great food, great atmosphere. Portions are HUGE!!! Would definitely recommend and go back again
Great food and atmosphere definitely recommend!!
Lovely food, great service and a fab atmosphere. Visited three times this year with different members of my family and have been impressed on every occasion. Well done and thank you to all the staff
Excellent ! Hadn't booked a table so just called in by chance and very happy we did.
Service friendly and good.
I had the steak + ale pie .. it's was delicious 😋 don't think any more meat could have been stuffed in the pie , big chunks of tender tasty steak .
Will return 👍.
Had lunch yesterday. Glad to say standards are back. It was lovely. My husband gave the pasta dish 10 out of 10. The bit of pastry on top of steak pie was odd but the meal was delicious

Went to try the new ‘Light Bite Menu’ available from 12-5pm Monday-Friday £8.50 Mains £4 Starters. Great idea and yes the portion size is smaller (not for everyone) but enough for us and meant we had room for their lovely desserts 👏👏. I tried the ham (thick piece it was really tasty) and eggs and chips. Also lots of meat in the steak and ale pie 👍👍. Desserts are always nice here and good portion sizes with 2 scoops of ice cream yayyyyy. Quiet when we arrived but got busy later on so I would book. Great service from staff who were well organised with quick service and clearing away tables. It’s a typical pub in here including a dining room conservatory so lots of room and some quiet tables in the back. Lovely outdoor area at the back and the side of the entrance. Great location in the day to walk up Dyserth waterfalls across the road. 10/10 👜 handbag restaurant review tonight for our tasty meals.
Good food with varied menu, plenty of choice, lovely desserts also. Have been visiting here for many years and it has always been good. Staff are very friendly, polite & helpful - atmosphere good as it is always busy , will be visiting again very soon.
Lovely pub/restaurant in Dyserth 2 minutes walk from the beautiful waterfall. Had a great welcome by the staff and was looked after really well throughout our meal. Had the steak and ale pie, good portion size, lots of large pieces of meat, no fat, great taste. Highly recommend.
Lovely little pub we just googled places near to the haven site to eat
It has a lovely beer garden and a play area. Inside is nice and clean. Staff are nice.
Reasonably priced its the same as the onsite pub at the haven site but the food here is much better quality with a great choice of food. Portion sizes are good.
Would definitely recommend
I went for lunch with a colleague. We were shown to a nice table by the window. Young waitress was very attentive & helpful. I chose Cesar salad with halloumi, it was delicious, maybe the best I've tasted & a generous portion. Excellent food & service, thank you to the waitress, sorry didn't catch her name, but slim with lovely sparkly earrings!
Food was excellent, staff were lovely but could have just been a little bit cleaner inside the pods. Asked for a cloth and spray whilst we were at the bar to clean it ourselves but just got given some napkins which was a bit of a shame really. The staff were lovely and the place was welcoming and I would definitely return, didn't put us off, we just moved tables. Halloumi sizzler was gorgeous and the salmon with saffron potatoes was excellent! They also pull a good pint. Quiet surroundings and friendly.
On a recent visit to the Dyserth Waterfall me and my boyfriend stopped here for lunch. It was an enjoyable meal and we sat outside. Music wasn't too loud and from the outside seating you get a view of the nearby church as well. Food was hot and tasty too.
As we all tried a bit of each others food I can recommend just about everything. Staff and location are lovely. Food was delicious, everywhere was clean and tidy. Visited regularly by my friends who live nearby.
Turned up without pre-booking a table. The staff checked and accommodated us.
The food was lovely and plenty of it.
Staff friendly and, in particular, Izzy, who was the most pleasant and thorough.
Stopped for a quick drink after visiting Dyserth waterfalls. Great little pub serving food, we didn't eat there but the food we seen looked lovely and fresh.
Great beer garden to catch the sun
Had a lovely meal and drinks here in the evening sunshine, nice food and relaxed atmosphere. Great staff.
A beautiful rustic pub with 2 outdoor areas to sit in. Dog friendly in both outdoor areas but not inside. The best thing about this place is the food! Highly recommend eating here!
