An amazing stay! Thank you to Gavin and Stephen for their hospitality. We felt so comfortable when we arrived and during our stay. The rooms are clean, well furnished and have stunning views. The food is fantastic and the loaded chips are a must to try! Breakfast is superb and cooked completely to your liking. We travelled back to Penmaenmawr as my dad had camped there over 70 years ago. A treasured stay and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you x

Got stuck in a horrible traffic jam and decided to pay this pub a visit. Very glad I did, the staff and premises are lovely. Dog friendly too. Had an absolutely delicious lunch, the Jaffa cakes sundae dessert was utterly delicious and the coffee excellent. Definitely visiting again as everyone I spoke to was delighted with the other dishes they tried. Really recommended for a lovely meal in a spotless and well kept place.

Had dinner for two on a cold, wet and windy night! Fantastic service, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, wonderful food and a great selection of drinks. Cosy fireplace, plenty of seating with awesome views across to the sea. I'm very confident that with the current management in place you will never regret going here! Bravo!

Staying locally and walked to the Gladstone for Sunday lunch. The food was absolutely amazing!! Probably the best Sunday roast I have ever had! And at a very good price. The staff were all very friendly and service was great. We have already booked for steak night on Tuesday!

Note: Food is only being served on weekends until 7 pm. We went here to eat on a Saturday evening to eat, without a reservation we came in at 7.10. The waiter told us they were fully booked, but we could sit outside, order a drink and look at their take-out menu. We asked them if a table might be available at a later time, so that we could eat from their normal menu inside later, to which he agreed. After having a beer we came back in at 8, asking for a table. At this point we were told by the manager they stopped serving food at 7 and the 'take-out' menu are the take-out menu's from some pizzaria, kebab place, and Chinese restaurant nearby. We were quite disappointed at this point, as none of this was made clear to us earlier. The atmosphere in the Gladstone is very nice. We really liked that they have live music on Saturdays. And there is a good beer selection. All in all, if you are coming for food, make sure you are on time, in the weekend, and with a reservation. If you are coming for some drinks, I can recommend the place.

Booked Sunday lunch. Friendly , efficient service. Went out of their way to accommodate my husband who don't eat vegetables only peas, even thou they were not on the menu, they bought them outwith his meal. Meat and veg were ample. Will definitely call again

The Gladstone in Penmaenmawr is a hidden gem that serves incredible food. I've been here for burger night several times, and every time it never disappoints. They have three different types of burgers to choose from, and they come with dirty fries that come with a rich pouring creamy cheese sauce. It's a heavenly combination that satisfies my burger cravings every time. The shredded onion rings are the star of the show, though. They're crispy, flavorful, and they practically melt in your mouth. You won't be able to stop eating them. The cherry on top of this amazing dining experience is the breathtaking sea views and the cozy log burning fire. It creates the perfect ambiance for a night out with friends, family, or a romantic dinner for two. Overall, the Gladstone in Penmaenmawr is a must-visit spot if you're in the area. It's a great place to relax, unwind, and indulge in some mouth-watering food that will leave you wanting more.

We called to see if they could accommodate us for a Sunday roast in which was told yes but a 10 minute wait. Well worth the visit, great food, excellent service. Keep up the good work. We shall call again.

Arrived an hour earlier than check in time, cold and damp following a morning hike up Snowdon, staff were happy to show us to the room even though we just chanced our luck. Unfortunately Mondays they don't have a chef but they were happy for us to order food to the main pub area and use cutlery and plates

The family took my mother in law out for a birthday meal at the Gladstone last night. Now, I'm not normally moved enough to leave restaurant reviews, but WOW !! What a great meal we had. The portions were big, the food well cooked and presented, and the young staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, even making up bags to take food home for us. This is the second time I've eaten at the Gladstone, the first being a Sunday lunch, which was also a lovely meal. All at very reasonable prices. Heartily recommended !!

On holiday and decided to go to the Gladstone for Steak night. So pleased we did. My husband and I ordered the rib eye steak. Beautifully cooked to perfection. Fries crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Tomatoes and mushrooms and a lovely pepper sauce. Looked and tasted good. Well presented and so tasty. My husband had the eton mess for dessert and i had the sticky toffee pudding. The whole meal was exactly right. Service was good and everyone cheerful and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We were staying at the nearby Tyddn Du touring site and popped in on Tuesday evening as it was "Steak Night" we had the Lamb Rump and it was served with mushrooms and skin on chips. It was a fabulous chunk of tender and well cooked lamb. We both had starters and I had two pints of the locally brewed session IPA. My wife just had the one drink and our bill was just over £45.00 great value and excellent food and service. We were also extra lucky because the first Tuesday of the month is Jazz night and we were treated to a jamming session from some local jazz musicians. I hope to be back some time soon.

@RobJohnson, I have never met such an obnoxious individual. You were given a dessert menu and asked to let us know if you wanted anything and we left you to enjoy your bottle of wine. You then decided to phone the bar and start shouting at the team that no one has been back to you. I came straight over, apologised and took your order but you behaved like a toddler who lost their binky asking if we ignored you because you were fat and ugly. You were then invited to leave. Now I’ve met a lot of drama queens but you are something else. My only conclusion is that you saw an opportunity to kick up such a fuss that you could leave without paying for your meal and drinks, I would gladly pay £30 to see you leave again. We all had a laugh about your behaviour including all the tables around you at the time of your tantrum. Thank you for the anecdote. It will keep us going for years to come. Regards, Gavin with the attitude
