A wonderful spot to go to on a rainy summer Durham Saturday (especially for somebody who is not familiar with the town). I ordered the Vegan Burger with sweet potato fries and it was finger-licking good (to steal the tagline from another chain). Helena was a joy to speak to when she got my order and her recommendations were invaluable. Made my one night in Durham a wonderful experience. My only comment would be to allow to mix 2-4-1 cocktails for solo travelers who might not want to drink two of the same cocktails.

We visited the restaurant for a special treat for my daughter and upon arriving was welcomed by the enthusiastic and bubbly host who showed us to our table. The waiting staff were over immediately taking our drinks order. These arrived shortly after placing the order and our food order was taken. The service was exceptional from both the waiting staff and chefs. All the food was well presented and tasted amazing. We would definitely recommend to other families if you want a great experience with a friendly atmosphere.

Food was great, delicious and satisfying for adults and kids Chloe I was taking our orders today - she was blooming awesome! Thank you so so much! Chloe I was so helpful, fun, friendly, amazing with the kids and made it a really special lunch outing for us Would not have been the same without her!

Our server Chloe I was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious, there were 4 of us dining in and we all enjoyed it. Dessert was delicious as well. I had the smores sundae, would highly recommend it. Service was quick and efficient. Would definitely come back when in Durham next time.

Always absolutely amazing service and communication. Yesterday they went above and beyond in my opinion. Myself and my partner were out for the day with our 5 month old but it's an absolute nightmare finding anywhere that either isn't ridiculously busy or just doesn't have any any facilities for baby changing. We stopped by the branch, as the tables and chairs outside weren't being used and we needed to feed the little man. After this we really needed to change him and honestly for the life of us couldn't find anywhere else. A lovely Member of staff (Russ) was so extremely helpful and understanding and let us use the baby changing facilities even though we weren't staying for meals or anything like that. Can't wait to visit again, actually have some food and hopefully be able to give Russ the proper thanks.

Bottomless Brunch with the girls. On point! At first we were a bit unhappy, not bad but it was different to other places we have been. There was a lot full tables and we thought we wouldn't be served as quickly as we'd like, also coctails take time to prepare. But after a drink a two we seemed to get into a rhythm and then Big Russ and his buddy came to make sure we were OK. From there he came to see us ever 10 minutes. I won't lie, we are a rowdy group, we like a drink and we wanted to leve there at least tipsy. By the time ordered food we were well ready for it. Because there was so many of us we managed to order nearly everything off the menu. The food was fantastic. Absolutely 5 stars and will definitely recommend and be back.

Attended this sparkling cocktail bar for the first time this evening. Had wanted to celebrate good news ( arrival of a passport after 24 years without one .... long story ) but always feel restricted being a non - partaker of alcohol. Set bartender ( and ill use the USA term for it given the nature of bar itself ! ) MICHAELA the challenge of selecting a suitable cocktail for me. Pretty simple for a well , respected and well thought of employee as herself. She thought this might have been a cheesy chat - up attempt but not so ...... I explained to her that she must havevbeen one of umpteen students who would have loved working behind this bar so she must have had very good credentials to land the job in the first place. She smiled sweetly in response. She was very pleasant to talk to ... in fact had an answer for everything ! Normally that's a criticism.thst you might level at someone but not in this instance. She's a second year Geography student based at St Cuthberts Society ( nothing to do with religion.. she quick to put me right on that score ! ).... wanting to earn an independent part-time living to pay off that millstone called a student loan. Its just as well she didn't get the job of having to talk to me ( or nearer the marl listen to the ex mental health patient spilling out his life story for the nth time !! ) That dubious ' pleasure ' was taken up in very good grace by her long - suffering fiancée Josh ( only long suffering because he had to be ' entertained ' by me firvat least an hour whilst Michaela worked hard behind the bar. Working hard ? Surely thats being overly charitable when there looked to be only 2 customers around ( ie Josh and myself ! ).... not so as a succession of Just Eat type delivery personnel were collecting orders for hungry locals at the same time Suffice to say I needed to get out ofvthe house firstly to celebrate and secondly to relax as an very mentally active bi - polar individual !! With special thanks to listener Josh and the subject of this review , Michaela ( well educated , quietly confident in her ability behind the bar and sufficient good humour to deal with me ( quite a proposition when I'm out and about in the community 😀 ! ) Best wishes to Michaela ( and Josh ) for your future happiness together and those infernal studies of course ELLIS COXON.
