Great street food with options for everyone in the group. I wanted to go here to get my Greek Gyros fix and looked like one of the few places in Durham that served Greek food. I didn’t realise there was such a huge selection of other cuisines available. I can’t recall which one we got the deserts from, but they were excellent.

Great value for money, we ordered way to much food as wasn't expecting the portions to be that big. The Greek platter was good although the Gyro chicken wasn't the best and was way too salty for us but the Italian platter was amazing 🤩

Good food and very much along the same lines as Stacks. I really enjoyed my bacon cheese smash burger. My only complaint would be how you couldn't combine your orders from different vendors to pay it all together

Grill 'n' Graze @ at The Food Pit. I got a hod dog, chips and Mac & cheese to take away, it was amazing, great portion, reasonably priced, the chips were nice and crispy. The Mac and cheese was on another level. Amazing. will be back.

really nice street food I had korean style grilled chicken from grill n graze and it was really lovely great portion size and very filling partner had falafel wrap from greek kitchen, said it was delicious and falafel was soft and tasty, but also could have done with more chips if that was an option they had loads of veggie and vegan options! food came quickly, staff were great, had an option to get self water, we also had milkshakes afterwards (including vegan) and there are loads of fun flavours

We came to the food pit for my sons birthday, everyone was so helpful and friendly, the choice of food was amazing and everything came quick, fresh and was as tasty as advertised! The atmosphere was brilliant and the lads felt they had done something really grown up xx

Lovely little food court with a bar and great atmosphere. I had the chicken and chorizo jambalaya from Holy Guacomoly - delicious! Everything worked in the dish and it was huuuuge. When we visit Durham again I’ll be sure to try some of the other stalls also.

Top quality food here, and loads of it. The place had just opened so was pretty quiet. The staff were great and the food was served real quick too. Thanks 😊

This is a great little space as there's a bit of something for everyone or anyone. The Greek platter could do 4 for a light lunch. The Thai is generally really nice, proper fresh and tasty The burritos are big and tasty It gets a bit pricey with a family as there's no family deals, I do like a family deal! You're looking at minimum £15 each with a drink.

I've tried a few different stalls in here. I've tried the Thai food stall, the burger stand, and the newest one that serves Korean style chicken wings and flat iron steak; 'tis a must have from the food pit. The service from the people at the stalls is really good too! Always keeping up despite being packed full of people. Its a great little market place for food.

Food was excellent - ordered the smashed burger from Parma La Familia, was delicious, definitely worth the price. Drinks were cold as well - nice to see. Service was excellent - all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Bar staff and Parma La Familia staff were both excellent. Atmosphere - was a little quiet, but I don’t mind that, especially during lunch hours. Music was nice. Solid 9/10

Got to sat the food pit was quite a culture shock. The food was very good & service plentiful, but there's not a lot of instruction regarding how the place works etc. There are several vendors in the building each selling different types of food, and you order your food from whichever vendor you like, but you buy your drinks from the bar, with the vendors being separate businesses. The vendors give you a tool that beeps and vibrates when your food is ready, so there's not actually a great deal for the 4 waitresses to do, other than to clear away glasses & seat people. It was a good experience in all, but being a traditionalist I think I'd prefer to stick with straightforward service. Good place though.
