This is good value with the Thursday evening menu.
Don't expect top notch Michelin star food. This is pub grub type of food. Nothing wrong with that.

The lady who served us was superb. Helped us push tables together for a big group. Kept coming and takinh drinks orders. Helped
Good variety of food, great staff. We had a lovely dinner my friend and I. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant area is separate to the pub so you do not get bothered with people drinking alcohol while having a lunch. The place has a car park and benches at the front where you can enjoy the sunny
Great food at reasonable prices . Some good deals through the week including 2 steak nights and a 3 course italian meal for £10 starter, main ( pasta or pizza) and a proper dessert..bargain!

Yesterday we enjoyed the tipsy tea at the travellers rest at Belmont. The food was great with a good selection. Our drinks were topped up constantly and the staff were friendly and polite we will definitely go back. Thank you
We had valentines meal at the travs. The food couldn't have been better, proper home cooked chips, melt on the mouth steak and attentive staff. For £49 Inc wine couldn't have been better. #supportlocal
2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £30 - great value and was lovely. Steak was cooked perfectly. Only criticism is there's not a good variety of beers

Definitely an improvement since it's been taken over. Meal was really well presented and value for money. Got steak and it was cooked perfect. Only issue was the cut of the meat... Was really fatty.... But that certainly can't be blamed on the establishment. Beer was also well looked after.... Lovel
Following a recommendation on the Sunday lunch at the Travellers Rest I decided to give it a try. It is local to my area and they offer collection / delivery service whilst in lockdown, which was great.

All been done out recently, and much better than before, new kitchen, toilets, bar etc. New chef and the food is amazing! great variety on the menu, something for everyone. Would be a 5 but we went as a group of 30+ and sat in 3 long tables, and were served as 1 group instead of table by table. Oth
Fantastic food great service from the team. Steak night on both Wednesday and Fridaynights tremendous. 2 x Steaks and all the trimmings plus a bottle of wine £25.
