Very nice place to eat Asian quarter cuisine. Polite staff, reasonably priced menu, healthy portions for what you pay for. Centrally located in the heart of Newcastle, which is not far from a local carpark. So after the meal you can venture out to other bars and restaurants. Great place to go as a couple or the also cater for birthdays, hens and stag do's (need to book in advance as the place is in demand). Overall big thumbs up for this place !!

Good food, decent value! Chicken katsu Curry is always good. Waiters are polite, and though drinks are sometimes a little slow they always taste great. Toilets are clean. Nearly always able to get a table midweek but weekends can be busy.

Fantastic food, the best Asian offering in Durham. The interior feels both classy and comfortable, and the staff are all friendly and professional. Don’t miss the extensive drinks list - ideal to finish off your meal before heading out to the nearby bars.

I'm surprised at how many 1 stars this place has received! Love the food......good place for people watching too. I personally like the variety and always go for tapas style dishes to try a variety and I'm airways impressed. Little bit expensive but not extortionate is worth visiting for sure. Try the pork belly it's brilliant!! 4 stars from me....... see you soon!

Delicious food at an expected price point. Excellent cocktails and fantastic service. The atmosphere is fantastic and the interior is beautifully designed. Serves food and also has a bar. I would definitely recommend.

Always get nice food, decor is pretty over the top but nice all the same. Would recommend anyone giving it a try, but expect to pay upwards of £30 per person (including drinks). If you go you must try the honey chilli chicken!!

It was my second visit. We were a group of about 20 people and everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was excellent and very fast service. Staff was helpful too.

Really lovely food with a good selection of different dishes. Good choice of drinks. We visited on an afternoon and there was a reasonably priced lunch menu, although there was a bit of a wait for food.

Absolutely delicious food! Some fantastic flavours amongst an excellent variety of dishes. The honey peppered shredded beef was particularly good as was the pork kakuni. The staff were also very friendly and efficient and looked after us well. This would have been a 5 star review but they seriously let themselves down with the wine. We all know restaurants add a hefty markup to their wines - it's to be expected as they have huge overheads - but the owners of Fat Buddha charged £25 for a £2.95 bottle of wine! (Vivino app). It was an absolutely horrendous bottle of prosecco and literally tasted of vinegar. I would normally order 2 or 3 bottles of wine for a table of 4 but i lost all faith in their wine list knowing the margins they were making. Thankfully the staff didn't charge us for the prosecco as all 4 of us thought it was vile. Buy better wines guys!

We come here for lunch. The food is always delicious and so reasonably priced too. Will have to come back one evening for the full menu and cocktails. Highly recommended
