The staff are very helpful and explain in detail the different coffee types, it is a small premises and seating can be a problem on occasions especially at the weekend. I think the company should create extra seating upstairs, this would also generate more business as I've seen people walk out because no seats available. The area upstairs is currently no entry as its used by the staff at the moment but would make a valuable asset to the business as a whole.

I didn’t receive the gentleman’s name, but I want to say thank you so much for being so kind! Your service made my day and I appreciated your kindness! Sorry I did not get your name, but my visit was on the 10/10/23 and I visited roughly 6pm. Could somebody from the team please give him my thank you and I hope he gets appreciation for his kindness :)

Nice cafe with friendly staff and a calm atmosphere and a nice vibe. When I visited I couldn't get an iced drink due to them running out of ice, but apart from that everything else was nice. I would recommend giving this Caffè Nero a visit if you are in Durham.

Lovely coffee shop. Coffee is nice as are the cakes. Only issue when we went was that the toilet was out of action, but is was just a small walk to the tavern in market square.

Cozy coffee shop which serves great coffee and a pretty good chocolate. The place isn’t that big but it has a decent number of tables available with relaxing music playing so you can chill while reading a book, surfing the web, or just hanging with some friends. The service is nice they will take your order with a smile and will be happy to help with whatever doubts you might have. Caffè Nero offers a good variety of food, from sandwiches to delicious desserts. I can personally recommend the chocolate and raspberry tart. As for drinks they serve the basic stuff and have a specialty menu with kind of premium beverages. You can grab a card to collect a stamp for each time you buy something, or you could just download the mobile app for the same festure and also the possibility of getting rewards now and then.

Great staff, fast service and my dog loves to visit, situated just before the market place opposite Tesco this is very friendly, clean and enjoyable coffee shop with WiFi. Coffee is lovely, and dog treats too. One of the best coffee shops in Durham.

This Cafe Nero was a bit different to other ones I have been to, it felt like more of an independent shop compared to how other cafe Nero's look. Coffee was pretty good on this occasion.

Friendly staff and lovely coffee...but its quite small inside and dark at the back. Quite cosy I suppose..not a lot of places to sit if it's busy though. If people have their dogs in you have to be careful where you're standing as it's quite narrow too

This is the most amazing Cafe Nero ever, situated in an ancient, quirky building. Plenty of reading matter, although a tight squeeze inside.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Service was excellent and prompt. Nothing was a bother. I love the coffee and the iced coffees are strong and delicious. They have a good range of cake with my favourite being the vegan Brownie's. The range of vegan savories has increased and the vegan meatball toasted sandwich is delicious.

Nice ambience, friendly staff, good coffee and tasty cakes. It's very small so can be hard to find a seat during the day, but if you come early or late there's plenty of space.
