Brought a group of twenty and with a reservation we were able to be seated all together. Many people loved their dishes. I had the calzone carne piccante and it was pretty good. Service was okay. Was not waited on very well, but the food came out quick. Overall, I am satisfied with this dining experience.
Tasty food in a lovely setting. Booked online and went for lunch. Can watch food being made in the open kitchen. Staff friendly and helpful. Pizzas delicious, will definitely return

I had a lovely main meal here, followed by a gorgeous calzone dessert. The staff were really pleasant, and the restaurant is situated in a lovely area of Durham centre. It wasn't my first time here, and it won't be my last.
Had a nice meal at the zizzi in Durham. The food was mid but the service and the atmosphere was lovely.
Generally good, however there was only 1 guy serving the whole of the downstairs and was run off his feet When we asked him why he was on his own he said there would normally have been 4 people on that shift however staffing issues had left him on his own. Which had led to mistakes being made, he dad dropped a bottle of wine close to some customers they had to get moved. He kept forgetting some of our drinks orders so it lead to some of our group not having a drink for a while. But we understood the position he was in.

The brownie has been THE MOST AMAZING brownie I have ever had. With caramel and shaven white chocolate.. It was to die for. Waitress was great, food was awesome, wife a bit grumpy but the kids were happy so 9 out of 10!!
Great Italian place for pizza and pasta. I was worried if a pizza would actually be enough since it's thin crust and not a ton of toppings, but they're misleading large. The style is to have a smaller amount of toppings, but a higher quality with each bite. What I mean by this is don't expect a uniform pizza, but do expect each bite to have a very good taste. Especially their sun-dried tomatoes, would highly recommend.
Very nice dining experience at Zizzi, Durham…. Friendly service, staff were attentive and the food was especially nice.
Would recommend booking, even on a random Tuesday it was busy.

My Girlfriend and I went for a little date night last night and Bryan took amazing care of us and was so lovely - He even recommended a beer garden for us to go to afterwards. Food was amazing as always :)
We walked in on a Thursday at about 12pm. Greeted by two very nice ladies who sat us, we had already decided to have the set menu after looking at the menu online. My partner is hard to please with his food but he loved all three courses, namely the melted cheese with dough balls, the beef and chanti pasta and chocolate cake! I had the calamari, chirzo carbonara and tiramisu and they were delicious. Three courses for £23.95 which we both thought was good value for money. Card only payment which was fine. Staff attentive, friendly and helpful but not overbearing. Will definitely come back again when in Durham. All in all a lovely meal, thanks to the lovely staff.
There was a delay with our order but Heather and Brian politely and effectively sorted it out in a first class way.
