I won a table for 4 for the VIP night on Saturday. Food was beautiful and the portion sizes were fantastic! Staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is quiet and cosy which was nice. The selection of gin and wine is also very good. We are all looking forward to returning and trying other things on the menu as the choice was great! Thank you so much again, we had a lovely time!

The best, most authentic, Tapas I've had in Durham. Fantastic quality food. Quiet restaurant. Great attentive staff, but not overly fussy. Food was amazing! Really large portions. I ordered 3 dishes and couldn't finish them all. Patas Bravas were perfection, not too spicy, perfectly seasoned. Halloumi fries were thick and delicious. Calamari was delicious, not over cooked as it often is. Wings were ok, well cooked, the sauce wasn't great for me. but that's the only slight negative in an otherwise amazing meal. Secret pork was delicious (first time I've ever had this). Fantastic all around experience. Will be back soon!

This is a nice little restaurant with a good atmosphere in the heart of Durham. I have eaten here before and would do so again. The food is nice and fresh and the costs reasonable, cost us £150 for four people including a service charge that was automatically added to the bill, not something I am a fan of but never the less. Some of the portions are on the small side which I know is right for tapas but the asparagus dish was tiny. However dispute these minor gripes I would go again and recommend. Something to be aware of is there are steps which you have to go down to get in so might be an issue for people with limited mobility

An unassuming little place from the outside that you could easily pass by without noticing. DON'T! We visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon. The service was excellent, always attentive but not intrusive, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We had six tapas dishes and they were all faultless. Defintely worth more visits when we're back in the area.

Lovely little tapas restaurant! Was fairly quiet when we were there (weeknight evening) but it had a really nice feel to it, and the food was great

Really sweet little tapas restaurant, off the Main Street so not too busy. If getting the tapas then would recommend a few plates each. Cozy atmosphere

Beautiful authentic tapas bar, small and cosy and located in and ancient stone building adding to its authentic ambiance. Great selection of food that was beautifully prepared and presented and was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit

Food was okay, all perfectly edible but not amazing. Not much chicken and chorizo, or anything in the paella - two pieces of chicken and maybe 3 pieces of chorizo, and most of it was a tad bland and bit stingey with portion sizes. The texture of the chorizo croquettes were mush inside. Service average - wasn't rude or anything, but wasn't particularly attentive, either. Liked the decor. Was not busy at all when we went in, only one other couple at the other side from us, so no atmosphere, really. To be honest I prefer the food, service and atmosphere of Tappas Factory, if I were to choose between the two. Better value for money and better taste. Maybe it was just because we came on a very quiet bank holiday day, but overall it was a pretty average experience. Not bad, but lacking any real 'umph' to make me want to go back, in a rush.
