Lovely day out with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. The forest trail was fun for all with something different round every corner. We took a picnic this time but may be tempted by tasty food from the cafe next time. A special mention to the polite young man serving ice creams. We’ll be back.
We went for the charity lambing day and it was lovely. Staff happily answered any questions as they were lambing which was amazing to watch. The farm shop was s but had a wide variety of grocery and home items and we'll priced.
A hidden gem… broom house farm is a delightful place to visit whether you are a child a grown up or a little bit of both 😉 the forest adventure is one of our favourite places to visit and spend a few hours exploring the forest, playing, learning about nature and most importantly spending quality time together.
We always follow our adventure with a wholesome lunch from the cafe, the food, and the cakes are always delicious and fresh, the coffee is locally sourced and never disappoints! The staff are warm, friendly, helpful and make you feel so welcome.
You can’t head home without visiting the farm shop, filled with high quality local produce; meat, cheese and chutneys are some of our favourite bits!
Absolutely gorgeous place and gorgeous people, 100% worth a visit 💫
Amazing sausages.
We bought four packs, two pork and leek and two others. The sausages were really meaty with no fat and very filling. The shop was very busy when we visited on a rainy Saturday morning and would have benefited from an extra pair of hands behind the serving counter. There was only one lady serving and three butchers so the queue was quite long to get served. The farm shop seems very well stocked, parking is good and is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
Nice farm day out with a great woodland adventure and some educational activities.
If your wanting to go into the forest Adventure its £20 for 2 Adults and 2 Children family ticket or 5.50 each for over 2+. Dogs are welcome and no smoking on the site. Season ticket available also.
The site also has some farm animals a maze small tractors and a park with small wooden fort food available onsite with a farm shop and restaurant.
Food in the restaurant was not overpriced and of a good quality.
Downside if you wanted to bring a picnic I think its a little out of the way from the actual main site which from a business point of view I can see why.
Everyone enjoyed the day and it was worth paying the extra to enter the forest and do the activities which did take best part of the day. The forest has plenty enough to do for the price I think its responsible.
Not forgetting Big Dave that pig be big!
Took my friend Finlay to Broom House for a day out in the summer and we had such a great time. The forest adventure was full of different quizzes and games for us to enjoy and we could have stayed in there all day. Stopped off at the coffee shop before leaving as well, which was full of some great looking cakes and snacks - including some gluten free options for Fin. Overall a superb experience!
What a lovely place.
Their farmshop is lovely and their homegrown, grass fed meats are outstanding!!
There's a cafe too and plenty of places for the kids to play, see the animals etc.
Highly recommended

Phenomenal dayout. Myself and my daughter aged 6 visited last week for a picnic and an adventure.
As it's a working farm you could see a lot of their animals including lots of piglets which was lovely, also goats and chickens.
The cafe itself was clean and well priced with a good selection of food. Lots of seats and outdoor benches too (plus wasp traps which were full to burst).
Hay bails you can play on, football goals and a small park.
There is an adventure woodland, it is £5 each and completely worth the money. We spent over 5 hours in the woods their are two zip wires and ropes bridges, big slides and small slides - it is possibly the best outdoor play park in the area for children aged 5 -8? You could go to a secret watch camp and watch animals eat too.
You also had tasks to find fairy doors
and animal footprints.
All very good fun and highly recommend I can't wait to go back!
Fabulous place to eat and entertain the kids. The farm shop could be a little bigger adding more choice but hey well worth a visit.
Amazing place, food is amazing as always, the staff are always super friendly and nothing is a trouble for them. 10/10 highly recommended.
We came up first thing on Easter Sunday and had a lovely walk round the area, Apollo our dog was made very welcome and he can definitely recommend the sausages 😁😁😁
An amazing selection of great quality organic meat from the farm and some lovely local produce. A very friendly family run local business. I’ll be back!

really great day out for the kids very clean and calm and peaceful kids loved it , plenty of activities and stuff to explore and find so keeping kids busy and happy , i would rate this place 5 stars BUT the picnic area provided was just a small piece of grass tucked in the corner far away from the main cafe felt a bit like errr your eating your own food and a bit taboo but when your out having fun in the country my kids like a nice relaxing picnic. i did spend a small fortune in the amazing shop before we left and i'm still enjoying the meat and jams i bought i would recommend the shop has some great food and staff in the shop were amazing and even made the kids smile.
WOW! What a place to visit!
Broom House Farm provided us a lovely afternoon filled with delicious food, great sites and an overall wonderful experience.
The breakfast was loaded with flavor and left our stomachs full. The lattes and desserts were also so scrumptious.
The service was so great as everyone was smiling and happy to have us as guests at farmhouse.
Check out the farmhouse shop on your way out to bring some lovely local bits and bobs of broom house farm back to your home.
We live in South Shields. We have been customers of Broom Farm shop for at least 5 years. We want to congratulate them on their 2 awards. It is well deserved. Their produce is excellent, especially their saddleback pork. We like their gluten free sausages. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly. Wishing them all continued success, in the future.
We all really enjoyed our day here the kids had a real adventure! There was loads to do that kept us all entertained for the whole day. There's a really nice cafe for food and drinks and only cost us £20 for the day as a family of 4. Definitely recommend.
We loved the farm shop and the friendly staff!
Enjoyed delicious food from the cafe while the kids loved the play area and Easter egg hunt!
We are coming back again!
Lovely day out, tasty breakfast, few hours playing in woodland trail & finished off with coffee & cake. Thank you to Lynn and all the other staff for being so helpful & lovely service.
Outstanding. Definitely worth a visit. Kid and pet friendly as well. Beautiful cafe, excellent shop, friendly staff.
Plenty of on site parking. Cafe has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice of good food to enjoy. Shop is small but well stocked. Good variety of goods including their own butchery.
Well worth a visit.
